  1. Ian,

no worries, was in town and have done it before. It should take you aobut 20 - 30 minutes taking your time swapping out the head unit itself. Find the instructions for the Jazzy board and that will walk you though the install quite well. The hardest part is the short wiring cables. They can be a little too short in my mind, but with the sti boost gages that tape power off the main HU wirring harness, I have an extention, and I have made a wiring harness for my clarion under seat sub so another extention there. All the others are a bit short. You should be able to get the HU out just enough go get to the cables, but not much more.

  2. Yes... I don't know how much it would cost to get that harness put together. If people have the oem sub harness that plugs in there that would probably be easier to modify.. I'd have to look into it though.. I had a tough time sourcing the connector when I tried, but I'm pretty sure it's an Tyco/AMP piece.. I have no qualms with cutting into the car's wiring, especially since my warranty is almost up anyway..

If enough people are interested it might be cost-effective to buy a box full of the connectors (once sourced)..

DK, have you been able to find a source for this? I would be willing to invest some $$ to make it work ;)
