  1. did you upgrade the front anti roll bar? im thinking rear 22m whiteline set to soft for daily use
  2. thanks for your reply's as mine will never see the track I think a 20mm rear bar will be big enough, should stop the roll and still be compliant on the rough tarmac where I live do you know if the 22mm whiteline bar on soft is as stiff as the 20mm on hard?
  3. but your talking about on a race track a nice smooth surface. im talking about on normal roads, rough tarmac, which will be totally different. why do they come from the factory biased to understeer? Subaru spends millions every year on r&d. I would of thought they would know best lol so is the trade off for less rear end grip from a bigger rear bar for less roll worth it on rough ish roads? am I even going to notice less rear grip? 1.1g is impressive does the jdm wagon share the same bilstiens as the usa cars? I read people really hate them. mine is on stock bilstiens and sti prink springs.it rides well just has a lot of roll compared to bpe I have whiteline bushes including caster bushes and top hats to fit when the lockdown is over
  4. no mine isn't a tS but is fully loaded with sti parts and alloy arms, lucky me lol im not sure just replacing the rear bar is a good idea.
  5. thank you very much. Im wondering is I should upgrade to the whiteline front and rear anti roll bar. do you know if the front is easy to fit? my jdm br9 has alloy control arms. does yours?
  6. Does anyone know what the stock size anti roll bar size is front and rear? Thanks
  7. what car are the steel wheels from? are they available in 18s? they look cool
  8. I have the the same back boxes as in the second picture. Problem is the price of getting the center pipes over to the UK is insane and there is no aftermarket parts for the gen 5 in the uk. having the center section custom made is nearly half the price
  9. mine come with fujibtsu back boxes. its still silent
  10. The link is for the impreza because I couldn't find a good picture for the br9. Im sure the sti br9 has the same back bumper and that has twin tail pipes. Im more interested in the center pipes. My br9 is so quiet I would like to add a few more bd. I was thinking custom make the center pipes and maybe delete the little boxes. So I get some extra noise but no drone
  11. anyone got the kakimoto twin center exhaust pipes and back boxes on there br9? I see the front section is 60mm into a Y then 50mm twin pipes. anyone know the size of the small boxes? what benefit is there have twin pipes? what is the oem pipe size? pictures in the link below http://auc.aleado.com/yahoo/lot?auctionID=e377200583 Thanks
  12. i will stay with Edward he has mapped my other 2 Subaru's ive had. I sent him my rom he will have to make a definition for it. edward has also said if im happy with how it drives now. go stage 0 and fix the laggy throttle maps and just add small amount of boost while still making it feel linear i realy like how the car drives but the si drive is horrible i also hate every time i start the car it goes into slow mode lol
  13. As I said earlier if you are happy now, then stay ignorant and happy, better than broke and broke down and unhappy. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk I think you might be right. The jdm map only asks for 10psi to make 280bhp so probably feels slightly more NA than the usa legacy asking for 13psi to make the same power. i will probably just go stage 0 and improve the throttle response and slight increase in boost. unless I can find a stage 1 map try before you buy lol thanks everyone
  14. true but if you don't ask so much of the turbo to make lots of torque in the middle you wont feel it fall on its face so much higher up the revs stage 1 dynos look like they are losing nearly 1000 rpm of useful high revs to gain lower down torque, coming from a mapped bpe I prefer to have the extra revs
  15. thanks for the reply's and useful info ive spoken to xrt tuning and looked at his simulated dyno graphs for his stage1 and I think the cars start to drop off at 5500rpm,which im going to feel. he also offered a full custom tune offering a small boost increase which I think will be a good idea, so I get to keep the linear power delivery and an increase in power and improved throttle map The br9 is lacking in responsiveness
  16. so im looking at going stage 1 remap. I really like the way the jdm br9 makes its power its very linear,i don't want to lose the linear power band. my worry is asking for 16psi will give me all or nothing power wise and masses of torque only in the middle of the rev range and will I notice the torque drop off past 5500 rpm?(like throwing out an anchor) on the stock map I feel no let off in power @ 6500 rpm and I want to keep that. any issues arise asking 16psi? stock jdm boost is 10psi. how is it to daily drive? so who has stage 1 and what are the advantages and disadvantages? mine is MT thanks
  17. looks like jdm br9 max boost is set to 10psi on the stock map. which I am getting, maybe jdm br9 has a higher compression and less boost than usa br9
  18. we didn't get the saloon in the uk we did get 2.0i 6speed and 2.5i cvt and an oil burner
  19. what is normal boost for a br9? do you know which connectors they played with? I have a defi boost gauge connected,i think its reading manifold pressure im seeing peak of 8/9 psi.
  20. bad enough. parts are around 50dollars then 150 dollars shipping plus taxes
