Seems that most scanner apps do one or a combination of .stl .obj or .ply.
The one boxkita posted will do:
gltf, glb, Dae, pts, pcd, xyz, and usdz.
Canvas will for a small fee export to:
Skp, dwg, Dae, plan, rvt, ifc, kit, and pdf.
For the following programs:
Sketch up, chief architect, autodesk revit, 2020 design, and autocad
Some mix and match with canvas, idk if some programs use proprietary files within some of those options.
I'm not finding anything that'll do step, iges, or the solid works file types I saw listed in thread.
Awfulwaffle or ajerezcl can you do anything with any of those file types?

Who was wanting to do the video stuff? Slow TV but driving? I can find my old pm from them. Are they still active?

I'm waiting for the nonameduda scan
Can likely get it sometime Sunday. Depending on how the app is set up I'll try to get it into my Google drive and share a link in thread.
Awfulwaffle has already yelled at me for failing to deliver a cad file. I can't risk his wrath again.

OK confirmed my mom has a 12 pro so I can do a scan next week of my car and probably anyone else in Central Florida. Looking briefly through apps on break and I'll look again on lunch. What are preferred object files?

Uhhh my partner has a 12 mini. Is that on 12s or 12 pro only?
Also would be happy to pitch in money next pay period. Rest is out of my scope and or desire atm.

It is only the 12 pro. I think my mom might have one though and if she does I'll at least get a scan while I visit.

If that'll work, who knows what file output is from an iPhone, I'm likely going to the rent a stall this week and can scan the underside too. Granted my underside is a bit different with no mufflers and skid plates

Ooooo and we have access to pre/post facelift wagons and a facelifted sedan!
No face lift wagon. Outback facelift is different grill and bumper.

models have been the issue since day one. I was going to find someone with a iphone 12 pro and attempt to use the lidar feature for a scanner.

In other news I got one of the koni dampers I put in replaced and no more clunking noises. Yesterday went and drove around near hell which was pretty fun but didn't have a chance for pictures. Also found the limits on my 800tw tires. They are almost worn out so gotta figure out what I want next. Maybe a uhpas like a gforce comp.
Next weekend taking a trip to Florida and based on what we are doing figured out tail of the dragon only adds an hour to our return drive so will likely do that.

I did get it in a vise and put a 36" pipe wrench on it but I couldn't get the vise to stop rotating and everyone at work was just looking at me like an idiot. Couldn't seem to get a good clamp on it. When I have more time I'll get creative mounting it and try that solution.

Hey, are you referring to the BCs off that sedan I parted out? I didn't know the condition of the coilovers because I bought the car for the breaks but I'd be happy to work with you on the coilovers

Yep those and nope not worried about it. I appreciate it though. I knew the risks of $200 coil overs from an unknown car. Thinking about putting them on eBay as for parts since I can guarantee 3 corners are not seized.
Also been debating ways to remove that lower mount that may be more destructive. Replace it for $50 and resell them. Sounds like a lot of effort though.

If you use venmo for free payments, its not going to be free much longer. New terms are coming out.
Way I read the terms is that it will remain free for "personal" payments. If you start a "merchant" style portion it'll charge you. Granted still less than pp fees by a bit.

We gonna fix the saggy butt. That thing would be positively tucked if it had the Eibachs front and back.
Idk if it's the body spacers or if you just have your coil overs dropped all the way, but I'm still like two inches higher than yours. Can't test it until I get all the tools out the back.

What a pain in the ass. The lower mount was frozen on one corner and by my measurements would have been five inches below legacy height. Even went as far as bringing it to work, clamping it in a bench vise and using a 3' pipe wrench we have.
Awfulwaffle had some konis laying around though.

Finally got it lowered thanks to awfulwaffle. One of the lowers on the coil overs I had was frozen stuck and I didn't want to be an inch of the ground. So used konis are now on the car and it looks and feels good.

I'm so glad I banned myself from the forum for a bit. I've been wanting something like this. Sweet that it's all set up. GLWS

wow, the rear is low now.
Lol yea it's not staying like that though. Height adjustment was stuck so was trying to get it on the car for some leverage. It would be even lower had I not pulled out about 1.5" of preload.

I got new pads and rotors on the front which was a huge pain and then halfway through suspension before the storm rolled in. Heading home now to try to finish it up.

Almost out of surgery on the rear. Thought the repair was pretty minor, but that looks like at minimum 5-6 hours of shop body work to my amateur eye.
Pretty sure the front end is all painted and new madrig scoop is in the mail.
I almost laughed when I read that, removing the quarter alone is usually at least 5 hours, and it takes good techs almost all that time. Labor times on quarter replacements are like 11hrs for something small and like 20 on full size suvs. That's removing all the bits and bobs and putting everything back in after paint.
I've never met a tech who didn't hate replacing quarters. And I've talked to idk 50+ about it.

Vegas ain't THAT far. I mean it's probably not two hours worth of savings though lol.

Got in the car this morning and heard the tiniest little whine when I pushed in the clutch. I'm only at 45k on this clutch so I'm not stoked to hear the TOB.

Didn't want to load up a for sale thread and I'm sure others might like to know, where'd those black caps for ps/brake/windshield washer come from? I've looked a number of times and never seen that. I friggin hate all the yellow.

Actual ssm3 is extremely expensive, I looked it up once and the software license is like 10k a year.
I haven't tried it. I looked at basically ALL the possible documentation on freessm and didn't see anything that would lead me to believe it would. I've just been continuing to ignore it, haven't flat spotted my tires yet.

$0.15usd/Sq ft (not sure where you're at lol) per export and I believe it's stored to be re exported whenever. Using just a surface area of a rectangle it's a little over $60. But many programs will do stl and obj free.
In that case I'll do a scan with canvas and 3dscanner just to cover bases. Unless each scan takes me hours lol.
