  1. I had originally a few days ago posted how I stumbled upon a site that had the SSM3 for download, but needed a very expensive OBD II connector in order for it to properly interface with the car. In the beginning I had mentioned I had the software and did anyone have any solutions? People began to post I have this interface or that cable please put the link up, and I asked if there were any issues if I did, not a word was said, so I put the link up and within 24hrs the entire post vanished Did I violate a rule, cause according to the forum rules I don't believe I have. **Any of the original posters did you install the software and if so were you able to get it to work with the SSM3. I still have the link and original file. I wont post the website, but PM me if you are interested or can point me in the right direction to be able to use the SSM3 without having to buy the V2018.10 VXDIAG the supposed interface needed to get the software to properly communicate, I had also posted a link to the original SSM3 manual as well and still have it too.
  2. I had made a post and eventually a link to download the Subaru Select Monitor 3 I believe I asked would I be breaking any rules as a few other posters were trying to figure out what cable was compatible with the software and now its gone with out a trace, no PM no emails no warnings? I just read through the rules and it doesnt seem that I possibly broke any.
  3. I called a Wheel Shop that specializes in wheel repair and re painting/powder coating. They said that prior to the plasti dip they were painted with Hyper Silver and that is what is the cause of the streaks. In order to have them re-finished they would sand them down, powder coat them black then apply Hyper Silver coats depending on what type of finish I wanted.
  4. To keep the same look? Or to have em painted? Sorry missed the refinish part, what would that run?
  5. I recently purchased a 2007 Spec B, which when I received it, the rims were very thinly plasti dipped, so I used goo-off and a pressure washer and it seemingly came off with ease. Little did I know that there now is a permanent residue and remaining what looks like over spray or residual plastic dip on the rims. I've used goo off, and at-least 5 other clear coat safe wheel cleaners and a polish to no avail. Include in this post are pictures of the residue & streaks. I'm not sure if the rims were pitted prior to the plasti dip. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. https://imgur.com/t1HuM6D https://imgur.com/eFEu44A https://imgur.com/6BFH3xk https://imgur.com/28DPsxO https://imgur.com/8ZSA6gK https://imgur.com/gilX9Eb https://imgur.com/smyhqKG https://imgur.com/ir3mPKz[
  6. I should have clarified, they replaced the Air Bag Infiltrator, which I would assume still require removing most of the dash. The light came on frequently prior to taking it in, but when I started the car at the dealership the light was on steady, and a stored code was in the Airbag System.
  7. I recently took my specB in for recalls on the air pump relay, passenger airbag inflartor and brake line corosion. There was confusion when I went to check in and they had mistakenly scheduled me for the next week agreed to take the car and perform the recalls. I cant imagine the relay or brake lining taking much time. But from most videos I've seen dealing with airbags(passenger) you essentially have to rip the console and entier dash apart to get to the unit. Is there anyway for me to easily identify if this was actually performed? The interior looks like it did when I dropped it off, even the items in the glove box look the same. Also my airbag light is on not giving an OBD II code but an air bag code related to the passenger air bag. When I dropped the car off the writer who was the worst CS, couldn't find my appt and said it takes a day to do an air bag, I watched a video by a subaru tech and he claimed 3hrs, either way he ripped apart everything. So as soon as I get in and check for NON DTC codes and there is one for the passenger air bag in addition to the light being on. I feel if I call the dealership they will just lie anyway? Can I take it to another for a second opinion, I have pics of the light on with the milage, before I left the dealership. I really don't want to deal with this place at all. Should I contact Subaru directly? I greatly appreciate any help or advice.
  8. I just recently acquired a 07 spec b, previous owner has a boost gauge on the top of the steering column, I'd like a A/F ratio and Oil pressure as well, so was thinking A pillar, but wasn't sure about air bag as I've not really looked at the FSM yet to verify, but assuming from previous threads its possible to have a triple gauge pod on the a-pillar, while not interfering with the air bag, i apologize if this sounds like a stupid question, I don't have much experience in the way of interior mods, especially since my older 97, 03 & 04 imprezas only had 2 airbags not 6. *EDIT* Correct me if I am wrong the side curtain airbag mostly sits alongside the ceiling pillars, I was under the assumption they were in the A-pillar & the sensor module is outside of the pillar as well? The only thing is the harness that runs up the A-pillar?
  9. Does anyone know of a Silver Center cap for Spec B, that either has the logo and says spec b or Subaru with spec B on it as well. I could have sworn somewhere on the net I saw the legacy silver center cap, with spec B on it . Does this really exist or is it an aftermarket thing?
