  1. I didn't say they did. Cold temps do, especially cold idling, while you're scraping ice of the car.
  2. I knew this thread was evil, I'm too bored. $6300 that I can think of now $2400-$3000 on the way
  3. and just today I was considering giving up and buying a lexus is-f... better looking, more badge recognition, fast as hell.. This thread is evil.
  4. huh? Did you read the first two posts in the thread??? pinouts included.
  5. If the radio side of the harness has an 8-pin plug, you have to cut and splice. If it has a larger one it should still work.
  6. 05's came with the "new" style, and for most people "work" means plugging it back into the same place, in which case it would do nothing because the outputs don't exist.
  7. Well yes actually.. since they are building a race car out of it... You know it boggles my mind I think would have taken a picture of that label if I saw it, but I don't recall it, I didn't take a picture of it, and now it's installed back in the car.. odd.. perhaps when I get some free time I'll pull it back out and look. What I did do was take the specs of the changer bus from the kenwood and stick my oscilloscope on it, and it matches up.. it's not just the same connector..
  8. There's no part numbers because it's not clear which part numbers apply, as it seems they may have split up the face plate and the radio.. but I doubt anyone is going to buy an OEM anyway, considering how much they charge. I bought the whole 07 unit without a PN. The bus appears to be the same bus anyway. When Subaru did the impreza/forester radio they went with a completely different bus. Why bring the "kenwood" bus over to the US with a different manufacturer?
  9. Nobody knows.. the connector looks compatible, if you order that adapter from Subaru (look at the link in the first post). You will have to try it..
  10. Yes... I don't know how much it would cost to get that harness put together. If people have the oem sub harness that plugs in there that would probably be easier to modify.. I'd have to look into it though.. I had a tough time sourcing the connector when I tried, but I'm pretty sure it's an Tyco/AMP piece.. I have no qualms with cutting into the car's wiring, especially since my warranty is almost up anyway.. If enough people are interested it might be cost-effective to buy a box full of the connectors (once sourced)..
  11. It's a different connector... if someone can find the pinouts, and bus protocol information we can compare... It's funny though this is a clarion HU, and my XM is a clarion.. hmmm..
  12. meh I wired into the rear outputs for my sub... The sub makes the biggest difference in stock quality, especially when you turn the bass to -3 and let the stock speakers do what they are good at..
  13. *bump for update* on first/second post It costs as much as you can get it for used
  14. The head unit doesn't support XM or Sirius - it simply has a bus connector device(s) that understands the protocol, be it a CD changer or other.
  15. If anyone wants to let me borrow a 07 radio with Sirius I can certainly confirm if it's the same electrical-level protocol or not.
  16. Are they not kenwood radio's? From what I've read at the impreza boards they have been in the past.. the navi is kenwood, the speakers are kenwood, and the HU's are kenwood.
  17. If it has the 20-pin connector as above, then most likely.. It would be interesting to see what happens when you daisy-chain them.. probably get both.. Need pics from someone with Sirius.
  18. You need the OEM receiver.. You can probably order it if you call your subaru dealer.. I don't know what the PN is.
  19. Any update on this? We get this in the US now too.
