Fuel door release cable replacement Wagon
mzsinko84 replied to bigfatdaddy's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
I started replacing the fuel door release cable in my 05 Legacy GT sedan, I didn’t take any photos because I was in the garage with not the best lighting, I primarily used a little hand held led flashlight and I was more concerned with getting a little bit done tonight. I will finish the work tomorrow/today. It’s not exactly all that warm out an I probably wasn’t properly dressed for this mid 30 degree weather (jeans and a t shirt)but I got my rear seat backs loosened up or removed and the rear seat bottom was already removed. -

Just to clearify what I said, I don’t want 100% RWD, I want to be able to choose RWD with a little bit more power going to the rear wheels to make drifting a little bit easier. -

Correction, a high speed drift car is exactly what I’m looking to do with my car even though I’m on a budget. In all honesty, I want to be able to give my car some gas and feel the rear end start to slide out but keep my car under control. I know if I want more of a drift car I should get a manual transmission but that won’t happen for a while. -

I don’t know this but does my car have a DCCD? I’m assuming it does because my transmission has 3 modes. Oh yeah, I want to be able to do burnouts and wheel spins which pretty much the exact same thing. -

My current transmission has automatic, sport mode which shifts at higher/sportier rpm and manual mode. -

I don’t have money on my side so I have to do things or I have to get things as cheap as I can. Just out of curiosity, does the 35/65 split work with an automatic transmission? -

I don’t want to change or alter the torque split, I just want find a little more to the rear wheels like a 35/65, 30/70, 25/75 and or maybe a 20/80 but I haven’t looked up center differential with DCCD option. -
I have an 05 lgt and I want keep the AWD but I also want to be able to chose RWD, I’m thinking a different Power Transfer Case but I’m not 100% sure, could I get a bit of help about what to do?

A few parts I removed and a few other parts were never put on my 06 lgt. -

Oh yeah, I took the MAC 3 port BCS off my 06 lgt and I still have to install that. -

The only thing that I actually ordered for my car is nothing, the spoiler was for my 06 lgt, the 80mm throttle body was for my 06 lgt, the Cobb Acessport v3 is from my 06 lgt, the exhaust is from my 06 lgt, the NRG quick release steering wheel is from my 06 lgt, the stereo is from my 06 lgt. Like I said, I haven’t orderd anything for my current 05 lgt. -

Some of what I already have or some of what I already had was from my 06 Legacy GT, I damaged it and saved a few parts like the exhaust, the intake, the stereo, the MAC boost control solenoid, the Go Fast Bits BOV I think a few more but it’s extremely hard for me to remember. -

I have a MAC 3 port Electronic Boost Control Solenoid (EBCS), should I disregard that or will it be ok to get the Cobb EBCS? -

These are things that I ordered before I got the Cob accessport, now that I have it, I found out about Cobb parts or upgrades for my car. -

I got the 80mm throttle body and a few other parts that I still have, Cobb accessport v3 stage 1 which is currently installed on my car, a boost control module (BCM), I plan on doing a custom intake, another exhaust and I know a car body repair guy repairing a spoiler that I ordered for my last Legacy GT. -

And do you know if it was the transmission, the drivetrain or possibly both? In 100% all honesty, I’m ignoring what I read about how a mod or a part is not worth installing on the car. -

As far as you know Boxkita, was installing the AWD/RWD from the 90’s Dodge power wagon difficult? -

As of right now I don’t have any plans on upgrading the stock turbo but I do have plans to get an uppipe, downpipe, the air filter, switching exhausts and getting an Etune. -

The only thing that I know about Honda is that I never liked Honda. In my personal opinion and no offense to whoever owns a Honda, Honda’s are worthless. -

If you want argue about a cold air intake, the current air intake or the oem air intake is restricted, use your common sense or your eyes and just look at. It goes in through all that BS plastic piping or tubing just visualize and try to think about it, aside from the Cobb v3 accessport, the exhaust and the intake are must do right away if you like tuning your car. -
