I've never used a funel and never had a problem. A proper functioning coolant system will push air into the overflow and replace it will coolant from overflow. If your coolant system does not work properly the funnel will not help.

I had the same issue, stuck on hot air on driver side side.

The driver side actuator was much harder to replace than the passenger side and if I remember correctly I did not have to remove the cluster.

JDM GT Rev.A

Original GT setup. Great balance of performance and ride comfort. I currently use this setup as my winter suspension. It is firmer, but not too firm. Closer to JDM SpecB Rev.B than to JDM GT Rev.C (had both setups earleir). Everyone who has this setup seems to praise it, especially with Pinks.

JDM GT Rev.B

This one is bit of a mystery. Does not really feel softer than JDM GT Rev.A. Interestingly rear shocks are the same as on JDM SpecB Rev.B, front struts are different. I just drove a car with these on Pinks and indeed the setup seemed more complaint than JDM SpecB Rev.B, but the difference is not big. Note, there is an old post quoting someone from Bilstein Japan saying this setup is for SpecB and tuned for 18 inch wheels - that is incorrect, I verified this against JDM parts database.

JDM GT Rev.C

This is the current JDM GT and JDM 3.0R setup, present on Rev.D cars as well. Also used on 2006-2007 USDM SpecB (not sure about 2008 yet). These are noticeably softer than any other revisions. Give nice and controlled and oscillation free ride, but they are more on the comfort than performance side. There were complaints that these do not handle stiffer springs (Pinks) very well and feel bit underdampened. I can believe this as in certain high speed situations these did not feel as secure as other revisions.

JDM SpecB Rev.A

The original SpecB setup, stiffest of the bunch. I rode in a car with supposedly this revision (not 100% sure, not confirmed by part numbers) - it felt marginally stiffer than SpecB Rev.B. Opinions about this setup range from "great ride" to "too stiff for daily driver". I guess this is very subjective plus it depends on the road conditions, wheel size, tires, etc.

JDM SpecB Rev.B

Supposedly softer than Rev.A. I had it on my car with Pinks for few months and liked it very much. Excellent performance, yet still great ride. However, can be too harsh on really bad roads if paired with stiff tires like RE070.

JDM SpecB Rev.C

This is the current JDM 2.0 SpecB and JDM 3.0R SpecB, present on Rev.C cars. Bit less aggressive than Rev.B, yet still excellent handling and great ride. This is my favorite Bilstein setup so far for a street car - I think they really got this one "perfect".

Reporting back after 2 years.

The bulbs are still in the car. They put out more light than stock bulbs. The difference is not huge but it's apparent.

At $10/each, they are cheaper than anything I could get locally. I will buy these again unless I find something better for similar price.

It helps to push cam caps to the side when tightening bolts to prevent cams from binding.

Yes and yes, thorough google search and went down many rabbit holes leading to various forums.

 

I found 1 person who was selling 08+ wrx exhaust that was fitted on LGT years ago.

I'm hoping to ditch the factory catback for 3in single.

 

08+ WRX wagon aftermarket catback can be fitted on LGT, but requires fabrication.

Other Legacy generations will fit with fabrication but they are not 3in. I have 2015+ catback that I will attempt to fit hopefully soon.

I also read claims that, "2008-2017 WRX/STI exhausts are all the same as long as you use the cans that came with the mid. Flanges changed between 2014 and 2015."

 

To my knowledge the only single catback for BL (05-09 Lagacy Sedan) available in the US is Zerosports World League Catback ~$1100.

I highly doubt if there is anything that fits USDM wagon out-of-the-box, due to fatter rear bumper than JDM wagon.

I've seen some obscure single catbacks on Yahoo Japan claiming to fit the wagon.

its more important how the marks on the belt align to the cams. if the marks on the belt are not present you can count the teeth per FSM and make your own.

when the belt is installed and tensioner still locked, there is enough slack in the belt that you can move cam gears with a breaker bar/allen and skip teeth.

are these interchangeable with specB mounts or regular GT mounts?

I was thinking about wrapping my entire COBB DP to contain heat and prevent rust. Will this shorten the life of the cat?

the dei stuff is useless on UP. It has a 30 second life at 1800-2000 degrees. The UP will cook in a couple of days

 

look into heatshieldproducts.com for actual heat shields. The basalt stuff will be enough, just leave room for the metal to expand

 

My DEI wrap is unchanged after 3 years on my Invidia UP. I did use almost a whole can of DEI sealer...

 

so far so good, but I'll keep an eye on it.

They use salt here on the West Coast. I work at a ski resort, my dedicated winter LGT has underbody surface rust, but not too bad.

the No4 issue could be a tight valve clearance, when was the last valve adjustment?

 

however, if the oil burning issue is not PCV related I bet you're rings are done.

I was looking at photos. I was not physically near the car. The owner claimed it was a 2006 but the cues suggested it was a 2005. I needed an '05 to be able to use my tuned ecu and other electronics. It was a rare non sunroof LGT AT wagon and I was just doing my homework before I drove 300 miles to get it.

AT DP will fit MT car, but I'm not sure if it works the other way around and thats what the OP has.
