Guest
Guys with 2006 USDM SpecB... do you know color codes on your stock suspension springs? I searched, searched and could not find info on this. I'd like to know this because I got a Bilstein suspension from Japan from a 2.0GT Rev.C car. Bilsteins are the same as in USDM SpecB, but I'd like to know if springs are. USDM SpecB springs are considered soft, so that's why good number of people replace them with other springs. If springs are the same, I'd rather to not put those springs on my car and upgrade them right away. Mine are: front - light blue and white on 2nd coil (from bottom), dark blue on 3rd rear - pink on 2nd coil, purple on 3rd Note, my suspension is from a wagon, so I guess USDM SpecB springs will be different in rear. Thanks a bunch. Guest
PGT, thank you very much for the effort, but these is info for JDM Bilstein equipped cars. I found that post myself. I am looking for spring info from 2006 USDM SpecB cars.
PGT
do they not match? My understanding has always been that the US Spec B gets the same springs as the US LGT, but with upgraded springs. You could check the paint codes on your stock suspension to confirm/deny.

But, I guess, it's a good idea to check USDM stock spring color codes.
Guest
Courtesy of mccorry I know that the stock springs are diffrent from the JDM springs. Note this pic: http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l263/smccorry/H-tech%20spring%20install/Frontstrutexploded1.jpg I kinda doubt USDM SpecB has the same springs as USDM GT. That would be serious mismatch for those Bilsteins. So far...
Dodger
I checked my stock 2006 USDM specB springs. Front: dark blue (top), yellow and red (bottom) Rear: lavender (top), lavender (bottom)
Dodger
Could someone please tell me about these color codes. They're STI pink springs, but I don't know for which model. I've searched but came up with nothing. Front: dark blue (top) Rear: white and white (top) I know at least one of them has pink on the bottom, but I can't check the springs. Supposedly they're for a spec B (manual, sedan); just wanting to confirm. Thanks.
Guest
AWESOME! Thanks a lot! This means that JDM GT Rev. C springs are different despite they are matched to the same struts/shocks. Most likely they are stiffer than USDM SpecB ones. I am gonna put them first then. Chances are they would be good enough so I won't have to put Pinks on the car. As for Pinks, mine (supposedly for manual GT wagon) have single orange dabs on both fronts and rears.
aldo ixnay
unclemat, Let us know what you think. I am looking for something between stock and pinks and was considering Tein Hs but JDM Rev C springs might do the trick. The Spec B Pinks that were on my car have: Rear: 2 white dabs at top, 2 small yellow dabs on bottom Front: I see a blue dab on the top Brian
PGT
I need to check the codes on my pinks (my rear sits low).

Btw, we need to compile all spring color codes and sticky a summary somewhere...
Dodger
I need to check the codes on my pinks (my rear sits low). This is why I was hoping someone can confirm the paint codes for the pinks. The rear of my car seems to be way lower than the front. I like how the car handles, but the way it sits makes me curious. Anybody with is info, please enlighten us! That's weird, if you had wagon and got sedan springs there would be an explaination, but since your SpecB is a sedan (obviously) you should be alright regardless what kind of Pinks you got. I read about Pinks sitting too low but only stock crapo Kayabas, although there were isolated reports about Pinks on Bilsteins being too low in the rear of wagons. That's why I am gonna try JDM GT springs first.
PGT
guys, guys!! It's not a spring issue on Bilsteins. It's the JDM front tophats....they are taller than normal. It's also a quite normal stance for a Subaru.
