  1. I actually already ordered up the ones I posted earlier this week, and I ordered the matching bushings as well. Isn't the 23 mm front one smaller than what comes on the 2012 3.6? I was under the impression it comes with a 24 mm front bar. Either way, if it doesn't fit, I got it at a pretty decent discount and could probably offload it somewhere else relatively easily as well. At least I'll have the rear in there in the meantime!
  2. I know I could eventually get mine looking like that, but it will be hugely cost-prohibitive for me.
  3. Haven't looked through every page of this thread to see if it's been posted before, but I ran across an instagram user by the name "iamacoolboy86" who has an absolutely beautiful JDM LGT, in SPW. His setup would be almost exactly what I would want my car to look like if the JDM parts fit. Check him out-> https://www.instagram.com/iamacoolboy86/
  4. I'm actually in the Schaumburg area! I encountered the LGT at the intersection of Nerge Rd. and Rohlwing Rd., both of us heading North on Rohlwing after turning from Nerge. And to be honest, I've seen way more GTRs than I have LGTs haha.
  5. So, it occurs to me that until yesterday, I've never actually seen a 5th gen LGT in person. They are IMPOSING. I happened to pull in next to a beautiful red one with a black grille and all the badging blacked, and possibly the black headlights too, but didn't get a close look. Beautiful ride, I would be very surprised if it was someone who isn't a member of this forum.
  6. So, since I've made a decent amount this week from being on call, I figured I'd take the plunge and order my sway bars from the dealership (got a tasty discount since my gf worked there). I just want to confirm for my own peace of mind with folks who have done it before that both of the ones I'm looking to get will fit and install relatively easily, as it's going to be me and a buddy installing them. Front: 20401AJ08A Rear: 20451VA000 Additionally, the parts dept guy said these will come with bushings. Will these bushings work with my '12 3.6 no problem or should I get different/extra ones?
  7. The JDM models had the FA20 I believe. He may also be mistaking the EE20 or EJ20 euro spec engines for an FA20, if NZ has the same engine choices as Europe.
  8. This thread has been missing some love for too long. Beautiful time of day for our color. Forgive the grain, taken zoomed in on my iPhone. http://i.imgur.com/tkQQrYP.jpg
  9. **LONG POST/PIC HEAVY** Hey guys, looking to get some advice/direction with wheels/tires (I apologize if this is the wrong spot for it). This will be the first car I've swapped wheels on, and a lot of it is alien to me at this point, but I've done some research I think I have a pretty decent handle on what I need, just want to make sure I'm on the right track. I have a 2012 3.6R with these wheels. http://i.imgur.com/ofyySks.jpg Wheel-size.com tells me that the stock wheels/tires for a '12 3.6 is 215/50R17 on 17x7's with a 55 offset. Mine is on 225/50R17's for some reason, so I'm guessing the previous owner had them switched at some point. Here's a picture of my current poke (or lack of) as well. http://i.imgur.com/gRP4Y5K.jpg I've been using Wheelmax.com to browse and sample (great previewer on this site btw) to get an idea of what I like and how my car would look with them. I want to stick with 18's since this is my daily driver and I prefer functionality. I've settled on two wheels so far for both looks and pricepoint: Motegi Racing MR116's in Gloss Black w/ Machined Lip, and Enkei Sesto's in Gunmetal (though I'm leaning towards the Sesto's). Motegi MR116 http://i.imgur.com/bkKv8KZ.png Enkei Sesto http://i.imgur.com/8Q0d506.png The site says that the MR116's are 18x8 with a 45 offset, while the Sesto's are 18x7.5 with a 45 offset. Using Willtheyfit.com to get the following measurements and I think I've figured out that 245/40/18's are a good fit tire to use for these without rubbing or needing to adjust the speedo (if not just slightly). http://i.imgur.com/wUY6ucf.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/0PYUeyg.png Did I do this correctly and will these fit? Should I maybe go down to 235's? Down to 35 profile? Or maybe up to 255's? Or 45 profile? Additionally, if I plan on dropping my car at all in the future (probably no further than 1"), will both of these tires/wheel sets fit still or will I need to reconsider size? Any and all help and advice is greatly appreciated. I've never done anything like this before and I want to make sure I do it right.
  10. Bad news, managed to track down the owner of the car. Turns out he purchased the car with these already installed, so he has no background information on what/where their from. Upon a brief inspection as well, they appeared to just be tips rather than pipes. Oh well.
  11. Ran across this 3.6R today. Does anyone recognize these pipes? They don't match any of the ones I've seen while perusing this forum, and I think they look quite nice and am curious what they actually are. I didn't investigate super closely, but they don't appear to be tips. Anyone know? http://i.imgur.com/WtVIX70.jpg http://i.imgur.com/zGQRRBR.jpg http://i.imgur.com/NwWO7WA.jpg
  12. Ah man that's a shame, I didn't realize they were that different. That pooches a few of my future plans. Oh well. On the flip side, I would imagine that I could still use the Corazon lip spoiler right? I can't imagine they would have altered the shape of the trunk lid from model to model. Or would that not fit either? That's the best looking one I've found, and the price would end up about the same as the OEM one, which is what I was considering before. https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/42711
  13. Kind of a dumb question about model years related to exterior mods: Did Japan get the 5th gen facelift for the 2012 models, while the US got it in 2013? I ask because I'm browsing body kits on japanparts.com and they group them into 2009-2011 and 2012-2014. I didn't see any info on the wiki related to this and I wanted to make sure if I end up purchasing and importing kits from here, I'm not getting stuff that won't fit my 2012.
  14. Reading through this thread and seriously thinking of giving the MPG adjustment a go on my 3.6R (previous tank pulled 21 mpg and the read out was 22.8), but I had a question regarding that as well: what is the actual size of the 3.6's fuel tank? Google says 18.5 gal, but after running the car almost 350 miles and the fuel meter being slightly under the empty line, I was only able to add 16.5 gal. Do I have an extra 2 gallons in there I could've driven or is Google wrong?
