  1. Last tank of E85: 187 miles 14.9 gallons for a sweet 12.5 mpg. #ThatE85life #socaltraffic #traffic
  2. Send your CDs to one of the bulk ripping companies. 69 cents a cd. For a little more you can get them in a lossless format. Load on thumb drive, use the aux in and all your sounds can come from the tablet.
  3. The pump works great! TERAPUMP TRHA03 for $23 on Amazon. Gets nearly all the gas out, and while slow, isn't that slow.
  4. And in spite of all our fear mongering, someone in the Outback thread recently successfully smogged with downpipe, ELH, TGV deletes, ECBS and a tune. Sometimes you can get lucky.
  5. To get technical, we have struts in front and shocks in the rear. People tend to use one or the other, and rarely both.
  6. We need to know the offset of the wheels. Rubbing front and/or rear? In the front you can add camber with the factory camber bolt, and that will help. For the rear you will need something like the Whiteline KCA399 camber bushing. Google it. It's cheap. And you going to need to get a roll and slight pull, executed by someone who knows what they are doing. Patience, expertise and experience are what you are looking for in a fender roller. But keep in mind: 225/40/18 are an easy fit if the wheels are the right offset and width. The combination of those two numbers being the key to easy peasy.
  7. If he doesn't see it, he'll probably hear it, then go looking for it.
  8. I need to learn how to hijack either the TGV (I has them. ie: they are not deleted) or rear O2 sensor lines so that I can log the WideBand with BtSSM. I'll dig through the thread on that, and maybe put some notes in here. I don't want to do AP + laptop this time. Tested the E85, and Yay!, it's E85! No winter blend in the middle of February is awesome! Tested what's coming out of my fuel lines using the fuel send line technique that this guy excellently demos: Zip ties FTW! Tested it, and it looked above E70, so loaded the E70 map. TA Mike gave me the okay to drive the car normally, saying that even E50 is awesome compared to ACN 91, lol! It feels really, really good on E50, but I can't say I can tell the E70 map is different. We haven't started tuning it yet, of course. Threads to search through: Tuning Alliance's Wideband02 Logging kit http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/tuning-alliances-wideband02-logging-kit-258451.html?t=258451 Logging Wideband O2 Via The TGV Sensor Input http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/logging-wideband-o2-via-tgv-sensor-input-243134.html
  9. No worries. And after graduation you are going back to the PNW?
  10. Hrmm, that would be cool. The missing little bit probably wouldn't bother me. This is my DD battle wagon, me versus LA traffic and streets. Never a show car. A strategic sticker on the gap on each side and exhaust scraping problem solved! But earliest would be April, but we're talking about SD rather than BA.
  11. Woot!! Man that is some aggressive wrapping. And that stuff burning off is no joke. I freak out when a little anti-seize burns off... Looking forward to your progress and results.
  12. Mine's about that bad. stock mid, extra long hangers, and LGT muffs hanging low to clear the Outback's no-cut-out bumper. It scrapes often. It's on my "to do" list.
  13. Been a really long time since I updated this. Nothing added to the car, or changed out recently. I've been slowly (on my part) working with TA Mike on the 91 ACN tune with the 850s. I think we got it settled. Putting that one to bed for now and.... I did a thing: Switched over to a very conservative E50 tune, that assumes winter E85 + left over 91 isn't going to be anywhere near 85% ethanol. It's running very smooth actually. Other than taking the usual extra long to turn over after a map switch, it learned quick and has been a perfectly smooth car in bumper to bumper traffic and +10 over freeway. Only 30 miles so far, but driven calmly, I can't even tell something changed. I also took home ten gallons more so I won't get caught too far from the nearest station. I bought a battery operated pump for about $22 on Amazon that is supposed to ease and speed getting the gas from the jerry cans into the tank. I'll report back on that later.
  14. I love sound of my ELH! Can't wait to hear yours. I need to get a good tunnel video of mine.
  15. I dig that the forum family member are helping out. Takes me back to the old days of the internet mailing list days.
  16. Dang... I'd buy that. I've been wanting a car on air for years now... and dang, i've got way more than that into my car, if I knew, I'd buy this for his asking.
  17. unsubscribe feed! you can always re-subscribe when you want. Not that it isn't a cool part. Just addressing your "issue" Edit: which reminds me, I need to unsubscribe from the 2005-2009 and wheels FS threads... Edit2: Unsubscribed the above two.
  18. "Found"... If you go looking for trouble, you will find it.
  19. Whoa. I had them in my G37 lease for two years, pulled them out about ten days before turning it in, and they had recovered fine! No issues. Had the kids' seats out of my outback on Saturday to carry some long items, and the leather is a little looser than I remember, but nothing like that. 1.5 years and going. Man, glad I bought them!
  20. I know it's 91, but I'm disappointed. Any thoughts on why the HP poops out at 5750? The vf52 pulled higher, so I expected more. How much boost are you running on the 1.5 vs the 52 for these two runs? If you can, would love to see the 1.5 vs 52 on same graph.
