  1. Anyone running a 22mm Whiteline RSB and Kartboy rear endlinks care to help me figure out what the specs (OD/ID/TH) of the 2 spacers used between the LCA's and endlink bushings. I've searched for days and only been continuously led to the FSB spacers which is the right one for the front side of the LCA but the back it thicker and I would prefer not to use 10 washers. Plus possibly the length of the 8mm bolts used to replace the stock bolt for the Whiteline subframe braces. Edit: Spacers resolved, if anyone wants to know they are 1"OD x 1/4"TH (same as fronts) and the other one is 1/2"TH and they are undsized ID then drilled out by KB for a better fitment. As for the M8 bolts I've still not found a definite solution but there are plenty of hardware stores close by so that one should be easy.
  2. So was doing life insurance stuff at work yesterday, started talking about how my car insurance has life bundled. Co-worker across the table says "how much do you pay, it's gotta be a lot since it's a turbo sports car right". Guy doing her insurance looks at me all big eyed and smiling "what kind of car...." I replied '10 Legacy GT... it's a "sports sedan" not a sports car.. he says ohh man I've only seen them online, never in person , btw I had a 06 STI I traded for my forester when I had my first kid. So after all said and done he was waiting on me to leave just to check it out unfortunately it was after 6 and it was pitch black but he got to see her tailights dissappear [emoji4]
  3. If I had just one I could "3d scan" with 123d catch I'd have one printed next week. I'm going to reach out to a really good friend that currently lives in the motherland, I'm sure he can help me out with getting a model. I may not be able to make it chrome and red but nothing a little paint can't fix.
  4. I know you've decided to change it up but I'm going to talk to my CAD guy about this. We have a Taz 5 3d printer and a 40 x 55 100w co2 laser engraver / cutter and if we change it up slightly we might be able to make one and not touch any copyright issues. I'll let you know if he can come up with something
  5. I thought so but thier mobile site was being slow as usual and I couldn't confirm. Since I plan on going up instead of down as well, I may end up cutting some out myself with our massive 40x55 100w co2 laser. Since I'm the only one at work that even knows how to use it [emoji13] or maybe get some printed on our Taz 5 but idk if I can wait days/weeks for the CAD guys to get them printed. So the laser will probably be my route, plus it's much cleaner. Now about getting my hands on those .dxf files and some material.
  6. Not sure if you are aware but there are some 1/4" 3/8" and 1" spacers for 10-12 legacies available here http://www.subtle-solutions.com/index.php?cPath=21_25_132 that's a way cheaper "mild" lift than swapping to OB struts
  7. Damn I wish I knew about this before now! I spent the weekend after in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and tried to get the gf to hit up 129 but we didn't quite have the time. I will be there next year in my 5th gen!
  8. I'm not so worried about going up, but going down may take a day. I think I'm gonna take the gf down US 421 better know as "The Snake" this weekend so plenty of fun road to "learn" on.
  9. ^^^^ Finally got it in my hands! Only took 3 weeks due to "back order". [emoji34] I think they forgot to order it the first go around and didn't get it ordered untill I called last week asking about it. But it's here now and by going through my buddies wife I got $20 off. [emoji2] Now to get to the weekend so I can put my new set of line wrenches to work and begin the relearning process.
  10. Yeah, I know I'm sorry my lady has me focused on a new housing situation so the not spending money on the car I just bought 6 weeks ago is not good with her... but she can go buy me things to help keep it clean, since I live on a long gravel road that's destroying my skirts, like floor mats and mud gaurds.. yeah that's my birthday gift from her. And the dampener delete was my birthday gift to me of course we have a little vacation planed the weekend of since I have 5 days off so we got the this week so I can hopefully install this weekend and have it ready to leave next Thursday and go ride in Gatlinburg TN Memorial day weekend traffic Sent from my SM-G900V
  11. Well I've finally got mine ordered. I've been waiting on my buddies GF to get in good with the dealership she works at, since she is a new online sales / customer service rep and is just settling in. But she was able to get me a 20% employee discount and it should show up Friday. Now if weather permits this weekend I'll be taking on this along with my rally armour mud guards. Wish I had my perrin trans upgrades as well but that's another story for another thread. Sent from my SM-G900V
  12. Yeah I'm looking at 1-2 more weeks. I wanna put rotors and pads on too. So I need time to gather parts. It's maybe had 1 set of pads I'm presuming, since the rears are speaking to me under medium braking. Of course subaru dealer says they're good, I believe whoever put them on didn't grease them properly. Unfortunately I knew the car had been neglected some when I went to purchase it, I checked everything including the fluids. But I really wanted the LGT and wasn't gonna settle for a '14 3.6R which was the only other leggy on then lot plus I got it for less the $17k so I'm not complaining at all
  13. That's the plan, the "old" bottle in the truck is maybe 1/4 left and barely a year old.... yeah the Ole B-4000 uses the sh*t outta it. Of course theres rusty unions and lines all over her but she's one hella trooper that's for sure. As for the Motul it was recommended by a friend whom drives a JDM swp Prelude-R. We were discussing the bypass install/ brake flush day I'm planning in the near future and he recommended the Motul product because "that's what's in the honda".
  14. Well both reservoirs are black so I'm assuming 81k miles of who knows what is in them. Which also makes me curious as to if the brakes have ever been bled properly or has it just been a "pad slap". But I came to research stiffness...... in a clutch pedal dampener bypass setup that is.
  15. The probelems with water is what I'm looking for. The fluid was mentioned by someone for the brakes because of the ABS sticker on it. I just wanted to see if anyone had experienced issues with it. I have a liter of both Castrol and Penzoil. ones in the old pickup at all times so I'm all for it. As for the for the fan boy I'm Amsoil all the way!
  16. http://m.summitracing.com/parts/mtl-100951 This is the Motul product I am considering. I plan to use it in the brake system for sure. I'm Just curious if it being dot 5.1 and specific for ABS, will it work fine in the clutch hydraulics like any off the shelf dot 4 synthetic? Motul RFB 600 dot 4 is just a little over board for street applications and it's way to expensive for a DD.
  17. I figured most were just running off the shelf dot 4. Didn't know if anyone had tried Amsoil or Motul.
  18. From all the reading I've done on this in multiple vehicles and tons of personal experience with older cable and hydraulic clutches. The dampener literally makes your clutch slip so it "feels smooth on your foot" and doesn't cause any harsh engagement. I think I'm going to call it "The soccer mom slipper". But yes the bypass will give you way more feedback through the pedal, like the clutches most of us are custom to. I really should have ordered one of these bypasses with my shifter stop the other day. It always gets me in tight parking lot situations like today, which made me look like a complete noob in front of the man (my father) who taught me how to drive a 3 on the tree over 2 decades ago, literally before I could even touch the clutch pedal or even knew what it really was! I definitely have one bookmarked to be ordered online, if the local dealers decide to charge me an arm and leg. So weather permitting this coming up weekend and parts being available by then. I am taking the challenge, since the fluid could use a swap too. Speaking of fluid has anyone tested out the difference between fluid types/manufacturers in the clutch hydraulics? I know it makes a difference in the brake system, so I'm curious if a full synthetic fluid might help with the cold weather stiffness? Or is it going to make it stiffer all the time like it does to brakes? I know it made a huge difference on my motorcycle, which had a bad habit of not wanting to stop so well when extremely hot out 90°F and as well at temperatures 45°F or below. Did a pad swap flush and refilled with synthetic and wa-la, stopping was consistent at all temperatures. Now if there's a post out there on the LGT forums about this subject I've not come across it yet, so feel free to point me in the right direction.
  19. 2010 LGT Age: 28 Location: Kingsport, TN (20 minutes from Bristol Motor Speedway) Subarus Owned: 1st (Subarus driven / wrenched on over 20 first was '86 XT) Mileage: 79k (purchased 2 weeks ago with 78k) Occupation: IT Admin / ERP Admin / Every Manaufacturing Position Back-up for Diversified Power INTL. (Golf Cart and Industrial Battery Charger Manufacturer) - Golf Cart and Industrial Chargers are 100% Made here in the USA! * Gotta promote my paycheck * MODS: So far here's all I know BONE STOCK w/t "Factory Performance" SPT boost gauge / short throw kit (needs upgraded bushings badddd!) Full tint front to back Fuzion HRZ tires (dealer install) Upcoming Mods: *After a few payments are taken care of* And a clutch thanks to a tech from the dealer taking this car out and launching it off the line which thrashed the throw out bearing , yeah it's sings to me when depressing, 1st Grille and wheels - Not a huge fan of the stock grille. I'm still not set on what style wheels (yes I'm looking at everyone's 5th gen) but gunmetal is the color for sure 2nd suspension leveling / rear sway - just want to level out the rear .... I live on some rough roads and get decent snows in witer so lowering is not an option After these mods I'll focus on the power plant but as is I'm satisfied with the stock 240 to the wheels - I drove a 1994 Mazda B4000 4x4 the past 10 years so I'm not used to getting to go fast, but I sure do love that I can use the passing lane again.
