  1. Unfortunately yes. Good to see that this challenge got a few people participating though I was going to say this shot looked very familiar...
  2. OK it's 3-3. Next vote wins! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Correct! Nice pic and good to have a new face in the challenge.
  4. +1 we needed this shot a few weeks back when there was the snow challenge on - http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5297807&postcount=1196 Now we're chasing stage coaches and carts. The rules for the photo challenge are in the first post - best read them and have a look at some of the previous challenges to see how this thread works Nice shot though. Suggest posting it up in the photos section - http://legacygt.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/legacy-photos-2015-140.html : Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yes it is quite a road. The climb has 17% grades and is used once a year for a one mile hill-climb event - The Mount Alma Mile: http://www.mountalmamile.com/ Mount Alma Rd, Inman Valley: https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Mount+Alma+Rd,+Inman+Valley+SA+5211/@-35.4783599,138.5070278,14z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x6ab145d55a94ca93:0x878697a4b0e4edf3?hl=en But just after the hill it turns into a dirt road so if you want to stay on the tarmac you have to drive from the Inman Valley side.

  7. Still 2 weeks to wait until the car gets dyno tuned. Took a shot of the car while out driving this morning.
  8. OK I went for a drive out of the city this morning and took a pic as I was heading past a farm. Actually it turned out to be a bit harder than I thought as most of the farm buildings/equipment isn't next to the road. http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=224682&stc=1&d=1455333775
  9. These were on a dealer advertised car some while back. If you could find the original photo you may be able to contact the dealer. They look like 19's.
  10. Wow that's a flush fit!! http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=224396&stc=1&d=1454966352 http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=224397&stc=1&d=1454966352
  11. Nice work kayslay!!! Any shots down the side of the car? I'm keen to see how flush this fitment is as it's the most aggressive offset anyone has fitted to the gen 6 so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. It's cheaper for us to buy from Japanparts than from the local dealer. I think it was around AUD$900 (US$630) from the dealer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I think you're looking around $800-$900 a rim new for OEM 18's. Though I haven't priced these new STI rims up at a dealer. The stock 225/50R18's will fit on these rims but will be a little stretched. Ideally you want to be running 235-245 but the 225's will work at a pinch.
  14. There's a couple of STI wheels available. There's these but are in pretty poor condition and I'd say are way over-priced given the extensive repairs that are needed to get them back to good condition: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Subaru-STI-2011-2012-2013-Wheels-Rims-Enkei-18x8-5-Offset-55-5x114-/301830877774?hash=item464685b24e:g:9pMAAOSwNyFWd46K http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTA4MFgxNDQw/z/9pMAAOSwNyFWd46K/$_57.JPG But if you have the $ then get these as they're in almost perfect condition and would look great too http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEAR-NEW-GENUINE-MY15-MY16-SUBARU-WRX-STI-18-inch-BBS-FORGED-WHEELS-/331769825672?hash=item4d3f05c988:g:3JkAAOSwoydWpWra They're pick-up in Sydney also http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTUzNlg4NjQ=/z/3JkAAOSwoydWpWra/$_57.JPG
  15. These are identical fitment to stock wheels. Personally the only reason I changed the stock 18's is because the fitment was too conservative with the wheels sitting well within the arches. If you're going to buy new wheels, I'd suggest shifting the wheels out towards the body of the car 10-15mm to achieve a more "flush" look. These rims will not achieve this look and I suspect you may be a little disappointed with the end result. Look at WRX STI rims as these are wider (18x8.5) and have the same ET55 offset. The effect is they will sit 12mm further inwards and 12mm further out from the stock rim. At a pinch you can even run your stock tyres on a 8.5" width rim.
  16. Yeah I'm pretty cut up that they added auto folding mirrors for 2016 Oh well just have to trade up
  17. Just to make you guys in the US envious, here's the 2016 accessories catalog for Aus. You can option up your car with the mesh grille, front spoiler and STI shift knob... and to top it all off auto folding mirrors are standard across the range
  18. No 245 width on a 7.5" rim is not recommended. Absolute maximum would be 235. Recommended sizes: 18 x 7.5: 215-225 18 x 8: 225-235 18 x 8.5: 235 -245 18 x 9: 245-255 For 245/45R18 tyres you would want 18 x 8.5 ET 50-55 rims or 18 x 9 ET50?? The reason I'm not 100% on the offset for the 18x9 rims as these will be a tighter fit (and no-one has done them before). ET50 will likely be safe on the inside but will sit pretty flush. Fitment will be similar the these 19 x 8.5 ET45: http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5303593&postcount=35 If you go 18 x 9 ET55 it will be safe in terms of "poke", however you may run into clearance issues on the inside (strut). You're going into unchartered territory here. I'm not trying to stop you from doing it but you just have to be careful.
  19. Looking good Andrew! I agree with you that the wider tyres give the car a much more purposeful stance. I'm running 245/45 on mine and they're fine. I think 255/45 does have a slightly larger rolling diameter from memory. I'd be checking your speedo/accuracy as you'll probably now run closer to "true" speed.
  20. Ok subieboy you've got 4 votes. Time for a new challenge Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. At least from here you can get an idea on fitment of various sizes/offsets and see how a number of styles work on our cars before making a commitment. I hope this helps. Once you get your new set of wheels make sure you post up some pictures along with full specs
