  1. Upsate is like that, reason being is that if they do a minor offense, then the money stays in the county/city. Speeding ticket money goes to the state. I had to speeding tickets in the suburbs of Buffalo once in the same week, and both got lowered to minor tickets. It was still $75 per ticket! X
  2. I was in kennedy blvd this weekend. Also parked right of Kennedy Blvd on 51 st for the whole day Sunday. And went to the park on 79 st as well. No one spots me either! X
  3. Heights, you really need to get past that chapter on projection from Freud. It was good like 200 posts ago, but now it is just getting stale. If anything I would say you are counter-projecting. Now back to the thread, anyone familiar with what I spotted? The car look extremely sweet! X
  4. Not to hijack this thread, but even after you taking out heights so many times in your car he still does not know what color you have. See what happens when you only take him out at night and keep his head lowered below the window Gitster. sheeeesh! X
  5. No, Gitster has newport blue, this one was regal blue, besides the dude driving looked normal, nothing like a gitster! X
  6. Spotted yesterday 8/12 Regal Blue GT on the Lincoln Tunnel at 8:30 PM heading to NYC. Was dropped, tints, megan racing shinny exhausts, lip spoiler and aftermarket wheels. Connecticut plates as well. Car looked really nice. My gf commented that it could pass for any real expensive sports car. Anyone? X
  7. OBP 2.5i on 80 West near Sommerville NJ with Jersey Plates around 2:30 PM. Anyone Anyone Bueller? X
  8. Saturday, parked next to a dark grey 07 2.5 limited at Target in college point. The car was not parked next to me by the time I came back. Someone in here? Maybe not since it was a 2.5i limited. Only good thing is that it was as dirty as mine, so I did not feel bad about it! X
  9. Spotted today, SpecB on Woodhaven Blvd North, Around 5:45 PM. Anyone here? X
  10. Got it! Thanks for the good info. I see now, said the blind man! X
  11. Ah like this: http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u280/garrett804/IMG_0337.jpg But what about the shield? I though our shield has an opening on top. Did you fill that opening? And why not using the shhield off the RX? Also, what does the dimples do? And why is clear better? Sorry, just trying to understand all of this. X
  12. I am a noob on this, but why use parts from both? http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u280/garrett804/IMG_0338.jpg And not use the RX projector whole? Like why use hte shield from the Legacy, with the projector holder from the RX and lens from the legacy? X
  13. I can understand if you installed some aftermarket equipment incorrectly, or if you burn your ECU and they can prove you did it. But believe me cutting a couple of wires from the DRL module will not harm anything. Subaru people are not the only ones that do this, search in any car forum for cars that have DRL's and you will see everybody has a way of disabling the DRL's that involves cutting wires, and never have I read anyone say "damn, my bumper to bumper warranty just got voided becaue I cut those damn wires!" Actually first hit on Google: http://www.lightsout.org/disable.html Look under the Subaru Legacy, they link back to this forum! Anyway no one is telling you to disable them, and if you feel uncomfortable then don't and sleep better at night, but please do not post something as asinine as saying that your whole warranty can/may/should/will be voided because of a DRL disable! You never know a N00b may read your post and take you seriously! Do you know that if you have a valid reason, like working an a armed forces base where you need to drive around at dusk without headlights the dealership will actually disable them for you? X
  14. They are going to void your whole bumper to bumper 3 year/36K mile warranty because a wire or two are cut? Yeah man, I will really need to warranty my DRL module! X
  15. Do you have HID's? I saw a car like your like a month ago on Queens Blvd and 48th st. X
  16. Rocker switch = cutting cable. Just cut the cables and save the money on the rocker switch. Time of trade in/sale, soder/tape them back together. X
  17. Someone else around here had the same problem. Did you have any accessories installed by the dealership? X
  18. When I only cnipped the brown wire the headlights went off, but the DRL light was on, and so were the parking lights. Then I snipped the blue/black and everything went off. It may well be that all that is needed is the blue/black wire. Brown wire, as in other years is only for the headlights. So if you still want to keep your parking lights along with the DRL light on the dash, but want to run HID's then only cut the brown wire. Makes sense??? X
  19. The tab pwned me, but oh well, nothing that a little soder won't fix in three years. X
  20. What I mean the amount of people that mod it so that the DRL's are off being by cutting the wires or unplugging it. We are a small ercentage of the Subaru userbase, so most people drive their cars stock. Most DRL's systems are made so that they are not driver controlled, but fully automated. X
  21. DRL's in the real world are not supposed to be turned on/off selectively, and this is why insurance companies give you a discount when you own a car with this feature. What Subaru did different on the 07's is that they added the low beams to the mix, along with a DRL light on the dash to keep those people aware that they are running only DRL's when it gets dark, and to remember to turn on their headlights. Subaru is just catering to the lowest common denominator, and for that changes need to be made. I believe the percentage of people that are not car enthusiasts that turn off their DRL's is miniscule. It is not like they took off any feature, and now you can't access it. Besides, you have an '05 so there is really nothing for you to worry about. I will see if I can take pics. I took some cell phone pics, but they came out horrible. X
  22. ^^^ Would be sadder if there was no way of doing it. X
  23. Just disconnect/cut the two wires and everything else will work no problem. X
  24. Thre is another thread somewhere, but basically cut the brown wire and blue with black on same plug. Here is the thread: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42292 X
