  1. I was in and out in less than an hour and no damage to my dashboard on my 03...
  2. Nice to see Subaru step up and solve the issue...
  3. people seem to like the hood delfector, tint and the Subaru Logo'd puddle lights on my car... I cleaned and waxed that thing and now it shines like a mirror...
  4. 2k3 legacy gets me 21 city 25 mixed and 28 highway....105k miles 87 octane.... it pales in comparison to my 2k14 legacy that does 25 city 31 mixed and 34+ highway... 24k miles and same 87 octane gas from Costco.... same routes for both cars
  5. unless you are the one who's carotid artery or jugular vein gets sliced and you bleed out...
  6. the paint on my 2003 Subaru Legacy almost looks new.... I clay and wax it once a year, and the wax it 3 times more over the rest of the year
  7. Dunno, live stateside so I cannot comment on other areas of said planet...
  8. You can add 2003-4 Legacies, Outbacks and Bajas to the list. Got the letter from Subaru for my 2003 Legacy today. NHTSA recall 16V-361 Subaru Recall TKC-16
  9. hoses on my 03 legacy lasted 12 years before leaking... ones on my CL-S are 15 years old.
  10. What I meant by track record is no real history of tuning it and getting a solid knowledge base of how it handles being tweaked While it would be nice, FWD really does not distract from the FUN factor of the CL-S but after 15 years and 140K miles it's time to put it out to pasture as those 5AT units don't seem to last...
  11. I am all for modding cars but I am not going to mess with my Legacy. There just isn't a track record with the new 2nd Gen CVT and if I really want to drive something reasonably quick, I'll break out the 2002 Acura CL Type S... saying HP is not as important as Torque is rubbish... if you want good acceleration, it is a combination of engine power, ability of the trans to effectively put the power down, and how good the tires/suspension are.... when I put headers on the Acura, not only did I get 30HP more, it moved the power peak from 6100 all the way up to 6700rpm and made an already rev happy motor even more so... IE building power all the way up to very deep into the RPM range with a small fall off by the time you get to WOT shift point of 7100rpm... it shaved an significant amount off of the 0-60 times and a bit off of the 1/4mile
  12. oh, no I was just commenting on the 2 colors that really make the car stand out... and yes, my car is the red one... everyone that has seen it likes it a lot.

  14. I have had several comments on my car since I got it. I think that the venetian red and dark blue colors make the Legacy really stand out in a good way....
  15. I don't work for CAT per sae, I just work for a very large CAT dealer (and Agco)
  16. I would be very hesitant to constantly run the tank down to E like that.. Fuel pumps use the gas to keep cool. I always fill up around 1/3 or 1/4 tank
  17. 2014 Legacy 2.5i with option package 21. Added Leather steering wheel and shift knob. 2003 Legacy L special edition with snowflake wheels. bought it in 2014 with 62K, fixxored it all up and now it has 105K Age: 47 Location: Somewhere on this here planet Subarus Owned: 2 of them at this time Mileage: 19.6k miles (2nd owner, lease return) Occupation: Coordinator for a company that sells big yellow stuff....
  18. When the Transmission Control Module (TCM) detects a continuous open or short to ground in the Torque Converter Clutch Pulse Width Modulated (TCC PWM) Solenoid valve circuit, then the P2764 code sets. test to see if your sensor has a short in it or is open.
  19. or it could be 12+year old plastic that is fragile from all of the heating up and cooling down causing it to be brittle.... incorrect, Tanaka knowingly continued to use defective parts so any cost associated with fixing their mistake is on them.
  20. I live here in MN and with both of my cars (02 CL Type S and 03 Legacy L) I just use whatever Whitebear Acura/Subaru puts in. CLS is at 140K and Subaru is at 98K no leaks, no consumption, no excessive wear issues. The absolute WORST thing you can do to your car is to "let it warm up" before you drive it away. On really cold days wait a minute and then gently drive away. On normal days, start wait 30seconds and then go... I have been driving for 32 years and I have yet to see any of my engines go boom due to oil related issues....
