  2. I set the Ford Fogs on my work bench and every day I look at them and say soon boys...soon.. I have not seen my car since Jan 30th...
  3. how hard would it be to swap in a power seat to a car without one. I can get the seat cheap, I want to have the adjustments that the power seat offers vs the non power seat. 2014 legacy seats
  4. package arrived today... well packages and looking good. won't be able to install them until get rid of this "oh shit if i try to remove plastic part when it is this cold, it will break for sure" weather (non heated garage lol)
  5. Thank you for that, I have the same rattle but only in colder weather
  6. what about taking a larger sheet and cutting it to size and applying it with a heat gun?
  7. I would love to work on my car but I have not seen it in a week....
  8. ^ the trans wont care.. although I find the '18 models much better at it.. really feels like a traditional automatic when it does shift between the simulated gears.
  9. well my car is still sick.. suffering from P0171 again.. at the Subaru dealer... none too pleased at the moment....
  10. OEM $40 cheaper here https://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts/ford-lamp-asy-fog-front_fr3z-15200-a.html
  11. it is very fixable but the problem is Insurance company may not want to eat the cost of that. Buy car back fix it yourself is what I would do.
  12. lol it is not partially true it is 100% true A good driver does not over drive the ability of the car in inclement conditions. That is the difference between being stuck in a ditch and not. If I had the place and the funds you bet your bottom end both of my cars would have snow tires on them...as it EXTENDS the capabilities of the car and allows for better control in emergency manouvers.
  13. my differential in my 14 was cracked at the dealer and I drove it 1500 miles while the fluid slowly leaked out... by the time I got home the from the trip the fluid had re-leaked out and the front differential was TOAST with metal shavings like glitter in said fluid.
  14. I changed out my diff fluid out at 35K it looked good as new. I wanted the dealer to do a drain and fill on CVT and they said no...
  15. they flushed my cvt with only 4.5K miles on it... this cannot be good....
  16. my original cvt was pretty quick to go in and out of reverse although there ere about 3x where it took longer... new one is very fast as well... but the car has now begun to stall out when coming to a stop... now back at the Subaru dealer... good thing tablet latitude 5175 i5 with keyboard has 14 hour battery life lol... as for engine droning all cars do it but some engines are better at it (v6 or H6) vs I4 or H4.... i do not find my legacy any worse than any other 4 cyl car that i have driven
  17. when was the last time you changed the trans oil? I do mine every 30k on my 2003 legacy and it runs like a champ....and I do not use the Subaru stuff because in cold weather it exposes a known issue with the first 2-3 shift being delayed due to long accumulator initial charge time. You need to change the trans fluid more often if you are in stop and go traffic a lot as the fluid really takes a beating under those conditions. Valvoline synthetic ATF is what I use and never seen that problem come back since I started using it at 60K. car now has 120K on it and I will change the fluid when it gets a bit warmer outside. I tried to get the Subaru dealer to do a drain and fill on my '14 at 30K and they said nope....but I am sure they will say yes at 60K even though the new trans (if it lives that long as the car now tries to stall when coming to a stop after driving a bit) will have only 20K on it
  18. there is more than enough room for an average dude to slide under the rear bumper and remove and install the bar. You can also back the car up onto ramps and do it that way.. there are only 4 8 fasteners to remove 4x sway bar bushing cap bolts 2x end link bolts and 2x sway bar bolts. if you replace your end links like I did then it is only 6 fasteners to remove but still 8 to reinstall. I took the bar/links out as an assembly and that was a cake walk
  19. I am going to visit them tomorrow... today is out of question as I am in the office 6-6
