  1. No, the midpipe isn't part downpipe. At one point, I believe there was one for sale in the Classifieds section.
  2. I've got a catless downpipe and Borla with a 3" bottle-style resonator in the mid-pipe. Very mellow, no drone - exactly what I was looking for in terms of sound.
  3. <voice of Ben Stiller in `Starsky & Hutch'> `Go ahead do it, do it'
  4. Thanks Z! Yeah, both upper and lower grilles are Grillecraft. Upper is SUB-1733B and lower is SUB-1734B.
  5. Thanks! I liked it both way, but this is definitely more subtle and I'm really happy with how it turned out.
  6. So apparently there is a delay and the panda's return home is in limbo. The body shop is estimating completion before Saturday but my pragmatic mind is starting to assume next week will be more likely. I guess I will take solace in the fact that every day it sits in the shop is a day that it isn't exposed to the salt and general abuse of a Wisconsin winter. Looking forward to posting some refreshed pics though! Still angry but definitely a different appearance.
  7. Yeah, good ol' Steve has a propensity for making comments that aren't particularly helpful or positive.
  8. The panda will be returning home tomorrow! So excited to dispense with the dreadfully uninspired '09 Impala.
  9. Yeah, the frame rails were bent about 16" and with everything else that needed to be replaced and/or simply removed to correct the frame damage, they just totaled it out. Took the money and went Panda hunting!
  10. My previous car (2006 Mazdaspeed6) after a lady blew a red light. On the plus side, this is the reason I now have my LGT.
  11. I can't say about sand, but I did have luck claiming damage from stone/salt chips. I was behind a salt truck a few years with my Mazdaspeed6 and kind of got wedged behind the truck by traffic in the other lanes. By the time I dropped back, the damage was done. My insurance took care of it less the deductible. I would think that my case is less convincing than your sand damage because what's to say that I didn't just have lots of little chips obtained over time? Your damage is probably going to be more uniform and appear to be the result of one specific event where mine could have looked like common road damage that occurred over months or years. Just my $0.02 and it doesn't cost anything to ask your insurance (that will come later in the premiums)!
  12. I would much prefer that to its successor.
  13. Yeah this thing is basically an uninspired, saggy, gutless, land-whale that sucks every bit of fun out of driving and turns it into a hassle.
  14. So after driving my loaner 2009 Impala for the past week, I cannot describe how badly I miss my Legacy and how nothing on this earth would cause me to drive such a vehicle under my own power. Can't wait to get my car back next week!
  15. I have a set of these and while they seem to be a very good product, I can't use them for my car (at least not in the front) . I'm on H&R springs, so down about 1.3" in the front from stock. They were nice for the rear when I put my RSB and endlinks on though.
  16. I've learned my lesson for next time - GTEASER sees all
  17. It's a mutant! Yeah, didn't have the door totally closed. Thus the zebra effect takes place!
  18. Had my first encounter with a 2015 Nissan 370Z Nismo last night. We played a few rounds of stoplight tag. He definitely did not expect anything from me (he actually didn't know what the car even was and we discussed this with windows down at a subsequent stoplight). Gotta say that car has a pretty mean sound to it, but I would be lying if I didn't also gloat a little at walking him every time
  19. I love Satin White Pearl! When does this color not look good??
  20. After driving my friends 2015 WRX with the STi Performance Exhaust upgrade, I decided that a little more noise may not be a bad thing if it was tasteful. I picked up a complete Borla CBE (currently installed) and will be attempting to mellow it slightly with the Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator. For fun, I may take it to the dyno again this spring just to see what the actual gains were.
