Well it's been quiet on here. What's everyone been up to?

Let's all plan to hit up the March C&O, we can roll in together if you'd like so we can park closely. I normally will hit up some mountain roads afterwards.

Yeah, I'm curious about an 18x8.5 +38 setup with 245/40/18s on a stock height setup (jdm rev b bilstein).

I'll be in Athens this weekend for C&O so you guys enjoy! March C&O we should plan for a bunch of us to be there. It's more than a month notice, let's make it happen. Maybe hit the touge afterwards?

Nobody came out last night! Oh well.

For the ATL LGT's meet? We haven't put down a specific time frame yet but I'd love to do it sometime in February if possible (late-Feb?)

Yeah that was me! I am a sucker for highway pulls, especially with the Dom 1.5xtr. The next wrxatlanta meet is next Tuesday at Grub Burger in Smyrna but we need to do a Legacy meet which I've been advocating for.

New here! In Statesboro GA. Actual resident, not student (I work at Georgia Southern). Pretty sure the only LGT down here, wahoo.

 

Had a speed6 (I got one for super cheap), but was afraid of timing chain nonsense and rear end blowing up. Finally got my hands on a black base model LGT Saturday.

 

Previous owner had done up-pipe, down-pipe, headers, and most maintenance.

 

I have an APv2 en route, and I get to do valve cover gaskets and rotella oil change today!

 

Next up is bulletproof intercooler, banjo bolt filter, rear diff bushings, and lastly - transmission and rear diff fluids (redline fluids). I'm pumped to be working on my car again, it also helps that this site has awesome documentation!

Ben did you fix your cooling issue?

 

Yeah dude, I did and I even switched to the Subaru Super Coolant (blue stuff) for longer life and better operating temps while I was there. My car runs like a champ now.

 

I saw a brown '08 I think brown LGT this morning behind me on 75 and it was a blast to have someone to do a comparison pull against, absolutely made my morning! That Dom 1.5 pulls so well! How's your ride coming along?

I'm about to buy new tires myself. I don't have a tire 'guy' per say but all of my friends at SoK do side work and they love tax free $. lol I order from tirerack and they get here within 2 days. Let me know if I should text one of them for ya.

My clutch is still shuddering also, just takes some time. Something I'm surprised about is how hard 1st and 2nd pull with this turbo, it feels crazy. I'll keep an eye out for fozzies.

 

What's new with everyone else?!

How's the car running Stewy?? I thoroughly approve the fozzy quest, I love the FXT's.

After a while without my car, a new turbo, radiator and other goodies my car is back and I absolutely love it! Joel from QED tuning pulled 353 whp and 360tq out of the new dom 1.5xtr on only 20lbs of boost. I could crank the boost pressure but this car is an absolute blast the way it is. The numbers were lower than I was hoping but it was also an awd dynocom which typically reads lower than the mustang dynos that are all around town.

Everything but OEM coil packs don't work nearly as well. While the aftermarket is best for some options, on this one I'll trust the Subaru engineers.

Well... Like everything automotive we began the tune process today so now we have to replace the coil packs. It would hit 21psi @ 4000rpm and it would start misfiring (not a happy sound on the dyno I might add) but that being said, everything is looking good to wrap it up once the coil packs are in.
