  2. Installed the OEM armrest extension for the 05-09 legacy/outback and dang does that make a world of difference in terms of comfort while driving. Also, installed a Borla LGT CBE as well. Third time is the charm on exhaust setup and the noise level is perfect for general livability and drone, even with UEL headers (Perrin).

  5. 6MT appointment scheduled for the end of Nov. Picking up the swap parts this week! My 5EAT is begging for mercy with brutally hard shifts 1>2 and sometimes 2>3
  6. Picking up the following this week: TY856WDBAA - SpecB JDM 6MT R180 & diff mount driveshaft M/T donor starter new flywheel new clutch specB rear axles shifter assembly master/slave cylinders clutch fork shifter trim & boot Getting ready for the 5EAT > SpecB 6MT swap.
  7. One of the first set of modifications to make this car a long-term hauler for me was a brake upgrade. Given the power it makes, this car needs a lot more SLOW. Picked up a Wilwood BBK from one of the LGT FB groups. Next on the list is a livable radio. A 2005 stereo is not going to cut it with the lack of Aux input. Sony XAV-AX1000 + JDM double din + i88 harness incoming shortly. Couple that with a set of Rockford Fosgate P1675S for the F&R and we're making some progress.
  8. Hello everyone! It's been forever since I've made a post on an actual forum! Long time reader, second time contributor but given how much time I spend on here, it felt appropriate to begin to share the journey of my recently acquired 05 ABP GT Wagon Limited. I found this car on FB marketplace in January and watched it for months before reaching out to the seller to see if this was in fact still for sale. Long story short, I purchased the car with my "Biden Bucks" for $2500 and drove it home to the other side of ATL. My intention was to let the car sit for a year or so and slowly work on it (ha!) while I continued to drive my Stinger GT daily. Funny how things change. The car market is completely crazy right now and I not only got to walk away from my Stinger lease with no out of pocket but the dealer cut me a $3k check as well. So as it would seem, I needed to get the wagon up to DD duties ASAP. The current mods are as follows: When I purchased the car: Tuned for ~340whp, because automatic. FP Green Turbo Perrin turbo inlet Cobb EBCS ID1000cc injectors DW450lph fuel pump Grimmspeed TMIC Perrin ELH Cobb catted DP Custom 3" catback exhaust Magnaflow mufflers (for now) BC Racing coilovers Whiteline F&R sway bars + endlinks Purchase state: The car has a known 5EAT issue with shifting super hard 1>2 and sometimes 2>3. Unfortunately, the car is on it's 3rd 5EAT with the same issue and rather than continuing to figure it out, I have a SpecB 6MT swap scheduled at the end of Nov. : Picking up the entire swap + misc parts from a 5MT donor car locally for $2750. The car had been sitting under a tree for well over a year without so much as the door being opened and the dreaded sunroof drains had clogged causing a water leak in the interior. Step 1 was to strip the interior down to bare metal, dry it out for a few weeks and clean everything with diluted bleach + steam cleaner while I waited to pick up another carpet set. Took this time to sound deaden random parts underneath the carpet. Pics:
  9. Bumping an old thread. I'm collecting my parts needed for the 5EAT > Spec B 6MT swap. Anyone I could connect with who's done this swap?
  10. Hey all, so I've been scouring this thread and as many others I can find for a definitive list on the 5EAT > SpecB 6MT swap. I have a lead on the following: Spec B 6MT R180 diff (from spec B) Spec B Axles shift linkage new flywheel (dual mass) flywheel bolts new clutch clutch slave cylinder shift fork STi driveshaft (if needed) or LGT MT driveshaft MT LGT ECU (if needed) MT LGT pedal box What else am I missing? I'm pulling this out of a LGT sedan and have access to almost everything from the donor car. Anyone who's done this swap I could chat with?
  11. For the mufflers, are they stock diameter or do they require and aftermarket midpipe?
  12. I also have an ABP GT Wagon (05) if you need my VIN too.
  13. You need a double din kit - https://www.ebay.com/itm/294054442550?hash=item447702b636:g:rzIAAOSwTdlgWK9G And you'll need an I-88 adapter for the head unit
  14. How much? Granted, I'd be shipping to the opposite corner of the country (30126)
  15. In need of a known-good 5eat with an upgraded valve body. Trying to figure out how to best coordinate shipping to ATL.
  16. The regular price is $150 and that's for 3 20 min sessions and 2 open pace lap sessions. I found my old student ID which makes it $100. I will indeed be taking video, here's a little something from the last one I did back in April. https://www.youtube.com/embed/00iGEdDDY28
  17. Hitting the track tomorrow afternoon at AMP to get some more seat time! I'm excited to see how she does. I have a friend running his built STi ~500whp in intermediate (which I probably should be running) and another friend with a stage 1 STi running with me in Novice. I opted for novice because it will be nice being the one passing instead of being passed. lol There's an internal argument in my head about is novice = people scared of their cars and could spin/wreck OR intermediate = people overly confident with the same risk of wrecking. Either way, it'll be a great afternoon at the track and I'm hoping for little to no tire rubbing issues.. Fingers crossed.
  18. Mine isn't as meaty as I wanted w/ 235/40/18 RPF1 18x8+35 but I still love the look. I definitely rub on big bumps but seldom any time else. I have rolled flat but plan on using the whiteline KCA399 to get a bit of camber in the rear to hopefully stop the rubbing, it's catching the outermost edge of the tire. Can I also just talk about the dumb plastic piece that attaches to our rear fenders on the LGT, can't really do anything about that piece.. http://i.imgur.com/nIAYdhs.jpg http://i.imgur.com/gxjEEXm.jpg
