Vent Boost Gauge (Digital Led Bars & numerics)
ShadowImg replied to lossol's topic in Interior/Audio
I'm a slacker, I got mine a week or so ago, but I'm out of town and can't do a thing with it. I get back in town finally the first week of Jan, so hopefully I can pop it in real quick. -

Anxiously awaiting. Also hoping the right-hand vent option comes about. Needs more gauge inputs. -

Exchanged waves with a White GT downtown on Michigan heading north. I didn't get too great a look since we were both heading through the traffic obstacle course that is that area around 5PM. -
You might want to search, I've read quite a few threads complaining about spec clutches being terrible. Never had one myself, so YMMV.

Wonder also if the transient spikes are coming from tapping at the recirc valve. The AccessPort would be reading from the MAP sensor. When is 1.05 coming? I was about to drop an order, but if it's on the verge I might wait a bit to get the latest. -
Scammer WARNING!! "Garage.east"
ShadowImg replied to micmicmotorbike's topic in Member Classifieds (2005 - 2009)
So you think he's running around creating paypal accounts using legitimate credentials? Think about what you're saying here. This guy is running around scamming people. It will probably get reversed, and you are correct, SOMEONE is going to get collection letters, and a credit score impacted. More than likely someone who's identity got stolen. It does matter. -
Scammer WARNING!! "Garage.east"
ShadowImg replied to micmicmotorbike's topic in Member Classifieds (2005 - 2009)
No, he's not an idiot. Did you contact the police/FBI? You see, why would he care that paypal returned you your money? You gave him funds via PP, he went and bought stuff from other people with them while the dispute was pending, got his goods, and off he goes. Why would he care that the PP reverse happened later on? He already has the stuff he bought with it. He's entirely banking on you guys NOT contacting the authorities over it because you're getting your money back. Better yet would be someone who doesn't follow the 30 day process with PP and gets screwed. Do the right thing, call the cops. -

Saw I believe a black 06(?) LGT with gold 6 spoke wheels leaving McGaw YMCA this morning around 7am. Sadly I was on foot, as this is the first modded LGT I think I've seen since coming up here. -
Spring swap walkthrough - Tein H-Tech's
ShadowImg replied to mccorry's topic in Walkthroughs :: Performance Modifications
They all do, hit me up if you're going to do it, I can get you the sheets with all the bolts/specs. -
The real question is, would it be cheaper to sell your auto and buy a Spec B or a 5MT to start the swap from? I'm going to guess yes both on parts and labor hours. The ECU seems like it would be more of a problem than expected at first when it comes to the swap. Not sure how the other electronics in the car would play in (BIU comes into play?), not to mention the immobilizer/etc.

TPMS - I ran two sets of wheels with no light!!!
ShadowImg replied to Mr. Sinister's topic in Wheels/Tires
You can get a TPMS reader/activator tool for <$100 these days I believe. More importantly though, most common auto shops have that tool available, but still aren't able to help you out because of the SSM3 component. -
TPMS - I ran two sets of wheels with no light!!!
ShadowImg replied to Mr. Sinister's topic in Wheels/Tires
Well, I'm thinking more if we can identify who makes the actual TPMS unit (I doubt it's a Fuji/Subaru specific unit). That communication protocol may well be documented/available which would mean potentially something as simple as a piggyback sitting between the BIU and the TPMS computer. It's also possible that it's simply basic serial communications and that you could potentially just wire a DB9 to a computer and do programming. This is all dependent upon identifying the TPMS unit though. Paging lossol to this thread?
