  1. Another kiwi here working with Dave! JDM LGT 2.0T but an '07 so no DP needed (catless already as I understand it) Early stages yet but great communication so far. Looking forward to completing the stage 2 tune.
  2. Well this is less than impressive, a crappy old IBM server from a client!. Mud is from my boots and a heap of building tools I took out a couple days ago. I use a car dog hammock folded out as a liner to protect the upholstery Great coz I just hose it off. http://www.chimera.co.nz/subaru/boot.jpg

  4. Anyone looked at rydeen android units? http://www.rydeenmobile.com/press/android-poweredradio.html
  5. Working with Dave at the moment for my stage 2 tune, can't wait to get off factory poo-tune
  6. More info needed, what year car? Are drivers working? Gotta com port showing up? Any error code?
  7. Convenient yes, but only get that mount from factory on some LGT's
  8. Very unlikely to have performance gains just by itself. possibly if done with a tune
  9. Anything reported from LearningView/Tactrix cable? Have you thought about taking it into a Subaru specialist or calling Subaru direct??
  10. There are 2 different drivers. One device is under "Universal Serial Bus controllers" and should use "USB Serial Converter" the other is under "Ports (COM & LPT)" and should be the actual VAG-COM driver for the COM port. The latter won't work unless the USB Serial Converter is installed and working first. I'm actually on my notebook right now trying to get the cable to work - although its supposedly able to read CANbus. Issue i got is it shows the COM port driver as Tactrix and loads ok, but when I run ECUFlash and try and read I get this (immediately closes after attempting to open)... 11. ^ I LOVE those mags on that LGT, what make are they?
  12. is there anyway, other than using ecuflash, to read ecu rom thats compatible with tweaking in romraider? tried ecuexplorer but doesnt have my jdm lgt defs. vag-com clearly sux if you have 2007+ (canbus) lgt (altho my lgt is '07, reading via learning view says its an '08 model?). well i guess vagcom doesn't suck, moreso tactrix and their post v1.29 lockdown shit does. unless there is some other way of getting ecuflash to read via vag-com cable on canbus? i see some get this working on jdm fine, and some don't. i'm in 2 minds, i understand that money has to be made in any business venture, but $170 for a cable? and then an e-tune on top? i guess coming from an i.t. background myself i know ridiculously overpriced everything i.t./electronic is lol.
  13. probably better posting it here so those with quartz silver can compare the difference... (stock) chrome grille sanded, etch primted and painted matt black... mags next... http://www.chimera.co.nz/subaru/subfrblk.jpg Damn now can't find the original pic in chrome to compare side by side! Took from the same angle and all!!! Crap.
