wheels and caliper clearance
Rusty9 replied to blackobxt's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
Red or black, whatever brush on caliper paint the auto parts store has in stock. There's a local powder coater that will do them for like $150/set but I have to bring them disassembled and reasonably prepped. -
wheels and caliper clearance
Rusty9 replied to blackobxt's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
I guess I'm going to let you guys know if these calipers clear the stock SpecB 18" wheels soon. Need to paint the calipers first, but I will most likely test fit them this weekend. -
Catless vs Catted Downpipe
Rusty9 replied to crisjp3's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
Modern high-flow cats are pretty good, being in Cali there is no reason not to get a catted version. -
Chronic Brake Shaking Issues

have you ever replaced the caliper slide pins? if the caliper can't slide freely and evenly on both its going to clamp at an angle and shake. -

New to Subaru! Fan wiring issue.
Rusty9 replied to mijohnst's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
I would wager the fan control module is faulty and they did that to keep it running to prevent overheating. Probably a dealer only part, or comes connected to the entire fan unit itself.... https://estore.subarupartswarehouse.com/p/Subaru_2008_Legacy/AC-Condenser-Fan-Fan-and-Motor/49282689/73310AG02A.html or start calling your local junkyards to see if they have any 3.0 Legacy's around -

I had the same exact problem, replacing all 4 coil packs and plugs fixed it. My car had 160,000 miles at the time so they we're probably due for replacement... -
New radio solution from the mainland?

New radio solution from the mainland?

I ordered and extra bezel and wiring kit just in case too. I also asked if that TPMS kit is compatible with the factory sensors. Looks like it might be if you can get the ID codes read to enter into the software. Either way the little external sensors are neat if you don't want to have your tires taken off to have their internal sensors installed. Can be some extra dollars if it messes up your perfect ROADFORCE balance =) -

Can you fill in 3d prints with body filler and sand them smooth? I'd imagine that's what that other guy was selling, sort of like unfinished furniture. -
