  1. pretty sure wrx to 2006 and sti to 2004 will all fit on our cars. i remember reading all that in the suspension sticky at the top of the forum, i think.
  2. if its a subaru (green) axle and not making tons of noise, just replace the boot
  3. i think i may have named this one derpy lol so far ive straightened out the rad supports and pulled the front out enough for the lights and stuff to look normal, here is the progress on that one. http://i68.tinypic.com/s6hqab.jpg next is the bumper beam, i considered buying a new one but the damn things are over 300 bucks! **** that. ill fudge the busted one enough to fit well, check all the bulbs and get it inspected this week so i can start driving and playing with it over the weekend
  4. IIRC the ej20 and ej25 share the same timing belt size.
  5. 23 not 27 http://17jewels.info/images/movements/e/eta/ETA_2365_25.jpg
  6. i totally agree, i think they look derpy compared to the 2nd gen. but its a decent car so far, and it runs well. im not getting rid of my 2nd gens anytime soon tho, i love the style way more than other cars.
  7. im gonna keep it for a bit and clean it up. after taking it out to sycamore for a test run the first night i kind of really like it haha but i will have to sacrifice a couple other cars to keep it i think...
  8. i started my 3 kids at a young age on safety as well, best thing you can do. some healthy respect and training on what to do goes a long way with kids. i also had to deal with other parents not agreeing with my gun ownership, and thats a shame as well. hell, my own brother is against it all, but now that his boys are old enough to see them in the real world and have questions, hes been coming to me for help on it.
  9. so i bought this thing sight unseen as a totaled car with a H6 engine. turns out the insurance company totaled it out but never even popped the hood to see hy the coolant spewed. two clamps, a radiator hose and some coolant and i drove it home for 500 bucks haha! http://i65.tinypic.com/2192fpc.jpg
  10. pre shrink the rear window, it is the best way to get it to stick and fit well. my best friend owned a tint, audio and performance shop for years, ive done a little of everything there. ask away if you end up with questions on it
  11. http://i68.tinypic.com/2my66gj.jpg bigugly may have issues, but he is a ton of fun to mess around with.
  12. update: car runs great, but the transmission has issues. slips between 2nd and 3rd most times, and 4th gear doesnt seem to exist. ended up taking hank out for the camping trip this past weekend, he performed beautifully. even the chevy guys were impressed that we kept up with them on the trails they thought would kill my outback
  13. well, it is a bearing. lefty is parked for now, and the ej22 is getting pulled saturday to put into big ugly. http://i68.tinypic.com/29ogal0.jpg pulled the engine out of him wednesday. my oldest bought a newer toyota taco, i let her trade in the civic coupe to help her out. i told them the blinking engine light and rough idle was from old fuel.
  14. http://i63.tinypic.com/2w30z03.jpg smokey is going under the knife, his engine will be transplanted into the new outback sport for now. got the engine almost ready to pull, probably going to switch them out this weekend if everything works out right.
  15. doesnt matter for the 95, anything pre-96 gets sniffed. i tried to get them to put it on the 96 obd2 test but they cant

  17. took one of the outbacks through emissions over the weekend. figured out that when you clear the codes in the 96 ECU there is no "NOT READY" code set. i have a bad wire somewhere in the harness for the rear O2 sensor, replacing the sensor didnt fix the P0136 code. i cleared the code, drove to emissions and it passed with no issues within 5 miles of driving.
