  1. for a second i thought i had been spotted, but alas i was not. i spotted a REALLYY CLEAN lookin black 4th gen yesterday didn't have any super obvious mods but it looked mean for some reason. it was parked, i think on, haynes rd but definitely in that little condo development.
  2. if you call chirping the tires spinning them then sure i can break them loose... but used to doing 3rd gear burnouts in my maxima... yes 3rd gear FWD burnouts. even tho that car was crap in the corners i miss it. so torquey
  3. I'm on a cobb OTS stage 1 91 oct tune with just a panel filter.... but I'm paying logan from McDowell tunning to change that today. maybe he can break the wheels free on this beast
  4. you can spin your tires? on dry pavement? i guess i have really nice winter tire's cuz i don't even with all the mornings with temps deep in the negatives.
  5. I was about to suggest that. should still look clean, be a hell of a lot cheaper, quicker to design and have the option of taking i out and swapping to different pieces should the want arise (because we all know this in not a "need")
  6. you mean they have a separate forum for aussies and kiwis?
  7. Spotted a ruby 5th gen GT driving north on route 7 away from middlebury. not sure how far outside of middlebury but at least 10 minutes. I wasn't in my car tho we were driving the GF's silver jetta
  8. you hardly see 4th gens? i see probably 50 a day. not all gt's obviously but plenty are
  9. Yall MIGHT drive a bit slow. Why is it that in VT no more than 5 cars can make it through a light that turns green?
  10. yea!!! MF's from mass drive much slower than us folk from jersey....
  11. their is a company in the US (solid concepts i think) that printed and fired an M1911 since the patents ran out. and to my knowledge they needed no finish work at all to use the parts. but they probably have the best additive manufacturing machines in the world. the one they print the M1911 on uses lasers the bond powdered metal. COOL STUFF
  12. So I want to do this soon, i plan to get that gusset off tonight then install next week, but I'm real worried about filling my foot well with brake fluid so i think I'm going to drain it all before i take it apart then change it out and refill. who thinks its gonna be a total pain in the ARSE to bleed the entire system? REEG I know you did this. did you find it worth it or not. to those who didn't drain, did it gush much?
  13. Audi feels that way. my GF's dad has an S4 he has gotten drive all of the A's (other than the A8L), an S4, an S3, and a Q3 from all of his warranty/maintenance visits. side note: Audi has a pretty legit maintenance package you can get with a new car to include everything up to (i think) the 75K service. it'd be nice to have all maintenance paid up front like that.
  14. Now that would really be something... your there enough. Get on it!
  15. seriously! i have a road trip in the works for this summer. didn't really plan on making it that far from home but it would be so awesome to get some feed back from Matt. I just know he's going to love the feel of the car it's just the right size for him. my car is a bit quiet an under powered to be showing the internet as of right now tho.
  16. only places you'll see them is at home grown places and even most of them don't have them because of exactly what we are talking about hahaha. i ask subaru everytime to give me something with a stick as a loaner and they just laugh. i honestly feel if i bring a turbo manual car in i should get at least a turbo or a manual to drive around for the day.
  17. I'd love for him get behind a nice LGT wagon, and from what I've seen as long as your car is clean he won't give you to much shit. i mean he found nice things to say about the camry so i'm sure your turbo wagon will do fine.... but i really meant some one with a 5th gen LGT because of their rarity. edit: also your from NY it's gotta be someone in the LA area (or someone willing to go for a nice long drive drive)
  18. speaking of researching clutches, mine is starting to be bit stinky. idk if its because of all the ridiculously cold weather we've been having but i have a sneaking suspicion that my aggressive driving style coupled with a clutch that is lagging behind my foot is starting to take its toll on the clutch. it doesn't slip while in gear at all. but after crawling up a 4 mile extremely steep access road that is bolton valley behind a line of traffic i was not happy with the smell when i stepped out of the car.
  19. My Gf wants to learn how to drive my car and i must say I'm a bit nervous about it. with the clutch damper i feel this car is difficult to have nice shifts and I've ALWAYS driven a stick. for someone who's never driven stick before MAYBE the damper will actually help out. but i can see my face cringing as she grinds gears and her crying after i finally lose it and drive us home
  20. if he'll drive this camry i think he'd be happy to drive a LGT. especially one as hopped up as all of yalls matt farah has just been driving peoples cars in some of the canyons near LA and reviewing them.
  21. When is someone going to let matt farah do a one take in there 5th gen GT?
  22. or are you so butthurt they put out a better platform that you need to go around calling other people's cars ugly? i happen to love the way my car looks and i bought it on purpose when i could have chosen anything i wanted. i love the way your car looks too but you don't have to be an asshole about the fact that a lot of people don't agree with me on mine. i just wanna be in the subi family and your bein a dick. have fun being the one of 20,000 people driving a 4th gen LGT. I'll stick to my funny lookin awd camry that'll tear you a new asshole straight from the factory and will actually be worth something in 20 years when i don't sell it.
  23. Oh I'm sorry does your high mounted turbo have you in a bad mood? is it because i can get over 25 % torque gains with just a simple off the shelf tune when you can only get 10? oh or is it the fact that i can comfortably seat 3 adults in my back seat? or is it that our cars just do looks that mean and no one is willing to admit it? go back to your karts kartboy
  24. Same here. i don't even know how long I've had the delete sitting on my coffee table, but it hasn't exactly been warm many days since December here. its gonna be a solid 30 here on sunday so maybe I'll bust it out during the "heat wave"
  25. 209K seems like alot but I've never owned a diesel so i guess i really don't know. I'm looking for something smaller but similar to move my boat around. a turbo diesel V6 would be perfect
