  6. Here’s a fun puzzle I’m trying to solve: 08 outback 2.5i auto misfiring on cylinders 3 and 4 simultaneously. Only does it under high load when the engine sees over 4500 rpms, otherwise idles and drives flawlessly. Can’t even feel the misfire, my logger just reports 3 and 4 misfire always together with the same misfire count on each cylinder. No other troublecodes. What’s been done after the problem was observed: -complete headgasket job/heads inspected -new coil/wires/plugs -new ecu installed -inspected engine harness pack connector pins Still does the exact same thing under high load. It acts like something electrical since it runs flawlessly otherwise and suddenly 3 and 4 both misfire together. This made me think the coil since 3 and 4 are right next to each other there but replacing it made no difference. Anyone have any other ideas?
  7. Yes it is my 06 legacy GT. And yes, I’ve tried multiple other OEM LGT front O2s as well as later a new OEM one with no luck. I’m gonna check grounds/related wiring and get the technician’s guide for that code. Will post updates this weekend.
  8. Been having trouble with this code recurring even after trying multiple confirmed good O2 sensors (yes ECU has been reset, but code comes back instantly.) I’m logging a fixed 14.7 afr with romraider meaning there’s no O2 activity. I checked the pins in the harness plugging into the af sensor harness and all look good with none backed out. Running out of ideas. Is there a relay somewhere in the car associated with the front O2 sensor? Any other things to check?
  9. http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/4996797918.html 400hp he claims
  10. Thanks for that link, I may need those. But if I got this tranny locally off a guy who had it in his USDM bugeye wrx, could he already have gotten these in the tranny and I don't know it?
  11. I just used my stock Legacy GT front axles (male) into the female tranny (or male tranny with stubs removed, whatever). So all I need are axle seals?
  12. Yea, but I'm leaking lots of gear oil, from the front axles and rear diff-drive shaft connection. Aren't I missing something?
  13. Anyone...please?? I'm really confused on knowing what I need, but I know someone has been here. I bought new axle seals. Do I need sundials or something else? Tranny code TY856WB4KA
  14. My 04 JDM STI tranny is leaking too. My brother says it needs new axle seals. Page 1 of this thread says some 04 trannys need extra parts to work. Can anyone tell me for sure what I need to stop my leak?
  15. Not totally sure how to answer that, I have an 04 JDM STI tranny in my legacy GT right now. I have a DCCDPro that I want to install. I'm running no DCCD now, so it's constantly in the default 65/35 torque split.
  16. Is there a write up somewhere on how to install a DCCD, maybe on a legacy GT in particular?
  17. Yea I agree that would look better. However, there's just not enough room if you want 3 gauges tucked in the cubby bezel while keeping the door. See how they already look crammed close together, the 2 outer gauge faces can't be tucked in anymore if you look at the pictures. If someone wanted a 2 gauge one with the cubby door, that'd be easy, but with 3 gauges I couldn't do that.
  18. Sure, I could do that. I'd just need some dimensions of the gauges you'd want. Plenty of room for 2 gauges. It's a 11/16" diameter ball. If the ram mount is different, we could get you a different size ball no problem.
  19. RooTBeer, you're right, I'm surprised I didn't think of that sooner. Was this what you had in mind?
  20. Yea, that's something I could do. If you want one of these, you could PM me with the diameter of the ball needed, diameter of the finger right off the ball, length of GPS, and maybe a pic of the GPS so I know it doesn't crowd the gauges. I could make these if I could get ahold of a rear deflector for modeling.
  21. The outer edges have to be flat for the gauge pod to fit, no way around it for fitting 3 52mm gauges there side by side. Yes, the empty gauge pod looks like I could squeeze them closer together, but if you saw the gauges in there, you'd see that there's like less than 1/16", could be more or less depending on what brand gauges you have. I see what you mean, it does look like the tubes poke out a bit farther than you'd want them. Obviously, the wider part of the gauge housing rests outside of the cubby, not even a close fit inside the cubby. If anything, they might be poking out a tenth inch or less than they need to be. Wish I could angle them toward the driver too, but I don't think there's room to make much of a difference if anything. Bottom line from my experience with this is that the fitment is very tight when fitting 3 gauges this size in an LGT cubby bezel. There's little to no room to change things without having a fitment issue.
  22. I could try, how many degrees you want me to try?
  23. I was thinking something like this for LGTs. http://www.subarugenuineparts.com/product_info.php?products_id=1745 Or if anyone has other ideas.
