  1. ^ The other problem, here, at least - particularly prior to the BL/BP's change-over to the BM/BR - is that even if we were able to get 3 of the same, together, two surely would be driven by AARP members.
  2. ^ That's definitely true - although I keep forgetting to think that way.
  3. Merc6 - I would agree with you on that, most certainly. My hearing's so shot, though, that if you blindfolded me or otherwise swapped, I honestly don't know how consistently I'd be able to test towards that. sl1200 - Glad things worked out for you! I've never tried a cross-fit, but FWIW, my wife's '09 FXT's intake tract looked nearly identical to that of my '05 LGTs (the "water jug" resonator was somewhat different), hopefully, you'll be just fine! Best of luck!
  4. Man, these BL/BPs are so friggin' variable, it really frustrates, sometimes!
  5. ^ It's usually for the AEM cold-air, but here it is, anyway: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/aem-cai-owners-question-yoos-60399.html?highlight=aem http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/aem-moisture-shields-69658.html?t=69658&highlight=AEM+CAI+shield I can't find fweasel's flower-pot mod, but I know I've seen it before....sorry You know, I've honestly never had trouble with my Perrin combo, and have only heard of a handful - maybe less - of others of the same issue as you're running into, without a true "cold-air" setup, which makes me think that your problem may have a secondary component to it.... I even favor running one street around my area, which sees significant rainwater build-up off the crown, ostensibly to "test" various of my tires' hydroplane resistance, and I've never had any issues. Even before I crammed a second water-container down there for an IC sprayer, even with that huge gap, it was never an issue. Are you still running the factory aero undertray/splash-guard?
  6. Damn! I've honestly had no problems with my Perrin SRI / home-made heat-shield / factory front "ram" setup. I wonder if there isn't something else contributing to your CELs. That's really pretty severe.
  7. ^ Definitely a possibility - more probable on certain intakes than others....I honestly don't know about the SPT.
  8. ^ Ah....indeed, I'm not sure if a basic OBD-II scanner can still retrieve the code, if the CEL is no longer lit. Do you happen to remember the conditions that brought up the CEL?
  9. Howdy neighbor! Have you pulled the code, to confirm that it's intake related? Getting a second-hand set of components from - hopefully - a for-sale thread here on LGT.com may be a better/cheaper option, if indeed the intake tract is to blame.....
  10. Holy &^*! That's a fully-awesome video. Even the music was cool. The ending even answered my big question, how long it actually took. Nice.
  11. ^ LOL, I'm totally clueless - hum...AM hours, I would have been dropping off Anna, but if there was an alert on my detector (which you visually confirmed ), that would've meant that both Anna and I were looking in the direction of the enforcement vehicle. That might explain why I missed you.
  12. ^ I think that would look pretty righteous!
  13. ^ NP. Yep, that fitment always confused me, too, until someone asked me via PM, and I in-turn asked that person to confirm with a public-Forum post. Both of us got the benefit of the answer, that day.
  14. ^ One of the things I love (and conversely, hate, too!) the most about the BL/BPs is that the'll just blend right in. Well, that's unless you've got two giant driving lamps on the front.... Hum....going the other way, in the afternoon, I would not have had Anna with me: her grandparents are out towards Orange, and that's the way I was headed. Would've been around 3 or 3:15 PM, right?
  15. ^ Nope, the '08-'09s are HB4/9006 - hence the popular HIR-1 "hi-low" mod to cover for this area. REF: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/fog-light-09-legacy-131426.html?t=131426&highlight=9006+fog
  16. ^ How the heck did I miss you, indeed? Either I was too busy playing with the countermeasures, or my brain was addled from the noise made by my new studded tires! Wait....was I heading westbound? If so, I may have missed you, but my daughter did not. She said something that I though, at the time, was cryptic: "why is that car flashing its lights?" I'll be darned if she wasn't spotting!!!!!!
  17. Deal. Cue Apollo Smile's "Thunder Box." BRING IT!
  18. Whoa, nice!!!!! That looks *much* better than I'd anticipated - even after my initial reassessment of how it's going to look (I went from a skeptic to believer, over the course of this thread).
  19. Oh man..... That's way beyond my shallow pool of knowledge - so all I can do is send positive thoughts the way of frank_ster.... But yeah, this thread is awesome - just like I thought it would be when I first saw it (and frank_ster's name as the thread author) back in June.
