  1. Hi everyone, I know that there are two older Ohio threads: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1913 http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=722&page=1&pp=10 Both, aside from being ancient, also seem to focus more on our Central Ohio brothers and sisters. Nothing wrong with that - but it's just disheartening that after a few weeks of road-time in Winky, I've not yet seen another '05 2.5GT here in NE-Ohio. I've waved to countless WRXs -both sedans and wagons- of all vintages, but not a single '05(soon to be "+") 2.5GT. I currently belong to both LERSOC as well as OhioSubarus, and will soon be active on SLi, but it's been disproportionally biased (the former), within NE-Ohio, towards our WRX/STi brothers and sisters as well (again not that there's anything wrong with that .......). I'd just like to get something started for all of us in terms of an introduction/sightings/get-togethers thread. ----- My name's Allen. For the past couple of weeks, I've owned "Winky," my periwinkle (as the wifey calls her Atlantic Blue Peal exterior)/taupe-leather 2.5GT Limited. I can be seen mostly in the Cleveland, Cleveland Heights (and surrounding Heights) areas, and have been known to wave/flash low-beams MADLY at fellow Scooby owners. "Flash" me and Winky or wave at us when you see us! I'm easy to identify - I think I'm the only rather portly Chinese guy in a ABP 2.5GT around these parts, and I have my DRLs disabled and typically DO NOT run my fogs at night. I can also sometimes be seen in my wifey's gray '05 WRX sedan (with rear spoiler). -A
  2. trdvibe - So, is there any way you can convince my lovely wifey - Sara - to be as much interested in cars as you? Don't get me wrong, she's confessed that she loves her 4EAT Rex (this is a big step for her, as she's truly not a car-nut by any stretch of the term) and she more than puts up with Winky, but I'd love to get her into modding as well. And as for the "Scooby Slam," I still cringe every time I do that. After 15+ years of easing the hood down as a sign of respect (and out of need, too - i.e. CF), every time I close the bonnet on Winky or my wifey's Rex, I feel just a little bit of guilt. -A
  3. All-right, you're right, I'll give you that one. If the wifey came home in a Ferrari , I'd notice in less than a heartbeat, too. -A
  4. ROFL! If my lack of notice of the wifey's new haircuts is anything to judge that by, I'd say it'll take your hubby a few weeks? Seriously, though - I do hope you get the hood back in-place OK, and that this does not put a damper on your trip. -A
