  1. Right on. I'm looking for parts based from your thread, which is awesome quantified sir, so i can have a bulletproof daily weapon.
  2. Where the idea came from. He went with an 07 I think trans whereas I was thinking newer. Edit: 05 trans.
  3. Some one find me a 15 sti drivetrain. Or a trans and rear diff will be cool.
  4. So a built motor and trans swap? I like your thinking.
  5. Kinda quick. Went from tapping to big marbles in metal can in short order. Engine off. Towed it. Bartering with the other half over what to build. Having a car smart wife can bite you in the but when you least expect it.
  6. Main bearings. Specifically the #4 rod\crank. Just need rotating assembly and valvetrain maybe a transmission[emoji15] . This calls for Johnny Blue or single malt highlands scotch and a Cuban. You're very correct GT. I got very lucky it wasnt much worse. Who's got my dranks? I need some enabling[emoji21]
  7. The initial angle puts the pipe in the way of a.c. lines IIRC. As well the run before the bend is a bit short which puts the frame in the way.
  8. I only used the 90° elbow from intercooler to bov. From turbo: racerX; napa 90°; racerx pipe w\bov, see precious pics,; kit 90° elbow. Cold side done. The charge pipe will not fit our cars without being cut and welded.
  9. Forgot important bit. Thanks ebo03. The headlight mount needed to be trimmed as well the crash bar holes widened. Simple dremel. The wrinkle black finish on the parts is nice and tough. Not easy to scratch
  10. The reason getting this one was to hopefully utilize the most surface area of the core without having to remove a lot of bumper. That being said the 08 kit is more likely an easier install.
  11. Just 2 pipes for the hot side. Lowered the fuel rails and moved the filler neck for the washer fluid. Removed the battery tray and moved it against the fender.
  12. Reused pipe and bov. The mount gaps are visible here as well.
  13. Which can be seen here. So need new holes. Otherwise you'll maybe need a 90° elbow
  14. The crash bar mounts don't line up for mine but I didn't cut any pipes.
  15. TurboXS 15+ WRX front mount. I will say this was not a straight bolt on. Requires holes to be opened, made, pieces to get trimmed. Took me admittedly 2 weeks of trial and error with fitment and mounting solutions. Can't be happier with the components and how it turned out.
  16. Sorry didn't update sooner. So after a new viscous diff, 6puck clucth, head gaskets, finish mounts for the intercooler. Driving is a bit different. With my previous clutch pedal having a push factor of wtf to now being slightly stiffer than stock, but when its grabs it grabs! I mean I'm so used to pushing a heavy pedal that you hear a bang now from how easy it is.
  17. GT had I known they were for sale, I will have taken those inserts, glad someone took em.
  18. The heads are back and assembly will begin next week! So hopefully by next Friday I'll get to drive home.
