  1. Back from the dead!

I (finally!) built a tool using a cut-up Koni adjuster and 8" of 1/2" conduit like the GRM thread suggested. It works perfectly, and I found that I could use the tool itself to wedge the interior trim aside (while kneeling in the back of my wagon) to get to the adjusters, so at least for now I'm not even going to drill holes in the panel.

    Thanks for all input.

  2. Set of four wheels from my 2009 Outback 2.5i. No TPMS. All are straight and true and include center caps, but show some curbs/dings etc. Looking for $250 OBO for all four.

They're not pretty but they'd be good candidates for whatever refinishing you'd like, OR just to use as winter wheels or whatever. I'm tempted to keep for that reason but I a) don't want to spend $$$ on winter tires, and b) need the space anyway.

Right now not looking to ship (it'd cost a fortune). Local sale near Cincinnati OH.Please PM if interested. Thanks!

  3. I got rear-ended a couple weeks ago. Damage is limited to the rear bumper. Body shop is an option but I'd rather just replace it.

SO - I'm in need of a rear bumper for an '05-'09 Outback, Satin Pearl White, plus the reinforcing bar. Must be in good condition - mine was scratch- and scuff-free, until I got hit of course.

I assume shipping would suck. I'm in the Cincinnati Ohio area but willing to drive a bit for the right deal. Please let me know what you have.

  4. I got rear-ended Saturday. I've got a bodyshop estimate but am hoping to find a replacement and swap the bumper myself, as the damage seems to be limited to the bumper cover and maybe the reinforcement bar.

Can anyone verify my suspicion that the 05-07 rear bumper and 08-09 are the same? My car is a 2009, and I've got a line on an 07 bumper near me in the right color (satin pearl white).

    Any help appreciated.

  5. As title states. I've got a 2009 WRX steering wheel for sale. It's black leather with red stitching, and fits 2008-2009 Legacy/Outback (and others). Comes with the plastic rear trim; I'm not sure if that's identical to Leg/OB, but your stock trim will swap over.

Please see pics. Wheel has some wear on the left side and on top but overall is in good shape (I tried to show this in the pictures). Leather is not dry or cracking, and is tight.

Asking $100 shipped/insured in CONUS. Please PM if interested. Thanks!

  6. I have several gaskets I need to get rid of. All for 2.5i N/A engine, as originally intended for my 2009 Outback.

    1. Front crank seal (front main), new in package - Fel-Pro - make offer and add $5 for shipping

    2. Front cam seals (2), new in package - Fel-Pro - make offer and add $5 for shipping

    3. Valve Cover Gaskets and spark plug tube seals - Fel-Pro - this one is a bit weird. I have one VC gasket and all four tube seals that are brand-new, PLUS two more VC gaskets that were on my car for less than 500 miles (long story, but no tears, still just as tall/thick as the new one). So, a total of 3 VC gaskets and the 4 tube seals. These are offered as a package, I will not separate. $30 shipped for all this.

I have pics but am having upload issues, will try to get them up here shortly. Please PM if interested. Thanks!

  7. I'd go with the Group N's. A little pricey at $79/ea from Rallispec before shipping. I have the Whiteline Com C's and the clunking noise appeared after about 5k miles on them. I've just been living with it for the time being. Haven't installed the Group N's yet but haven't heard anything bad about them. My wagon is in the shop for ton of work and installing these is part of that.

I forget which thread it was in but Mike from AZP had said those top hats paired with the Koni's was his favorite setup.

I can get the part # for them later tonight if I remember (tax season is a b****).

    Here's the part number.

Are these the same spec as stock LGT/OB, or are they the shorter Spec B/Bilstein configuration? I'm running Koni, so stock geometry is preferred.

  8. So, I spent months chasing a front end clunk when my car was riding on JDM Bilsteins. See here for background.

Forget most of that thread though haha. I installed Konis and H&R springs in October, since I decided I wanted to go lower than the Bilsteins allowed. I purchased new KYB strut mounts front and rear to go with the other components.

Fast forward to about 10 days ago, and the clunk is back. It's not as bad as it was before. I had pretty much decided that the issue back then was the front left Bilstein strut itself. The Koni setup has been super nice, until now.

On doing some reading it seems the KYB front mounts are not favored, but I can't find much reference to the specific problem. The car has only had this setup on for 3.5 months and about 2500 miles. I verified that everything is tight so I don't think that's the issue (and if you check my other thread, things like balljoints/swaybar bushings/endlinks etc have all been replaced).

So, I'm thinking now it may be these KYB mounts and I'm exploring possibilities for replacement. Obviously OEM is an option but at $100 each that seems pricey. What have folks had good luck with? Moog, Monroe, Gabriel and Westar are available on Rockauto but the only one I might take a chance on is Moog and even then I'd prefer to have some recommendations.

I guess Group N or Whiteline mounts would be an option. I'm unclear what p/n to look for with those though, so if anyone has them it'd be helpful.

I am utterly sick of this issue, it's annoying as hell, so any input is appreciated.
