  1. I should be available mon - thur after 6 pm from what it looks like. Haven't received confirmation from the dept on which hotel, but should be one of the Marriots near the airport. I can't do anything Fri night as I leave at 6 pm as soon as my training is over.

Also, I should hopefully have a few extra sets of lgt stickers. And if you ordered any I can bring them with me. Just let me know. Always fun to meet the members whenever I go on a trip. See you guys soon!

  2. AKLGT is in town the week of 5/27. So, not this weekend (fortunately for me, we are installing a new clutch in my Leggy on Sunday). Also, if I recall correctly, she is only available during the week to meet up, so a weeknight meet??

Are there any decent places to meet up on that side of town? Maybe something in Northfield? I figure a restaurant/bar would be ideal, especially if it's on/near a big ass mall parking lot.

Provided I can make the meet (I don't see any reason why I can't, at least right now) I can pick AKLGT up from the DIA area and cruise on over.

If we can all agree on a date/place to meet up, I don't mind calling ahead and working it out with one of those establishments.. (Hint, I'm would tell them we will come in buy food/drinks from them)

I arrive into Denver 5/22 and leave 5/27.

  3. alright, so I am told I will be staying at a hotel nearby Denver Intl. Not sure which one yet, but probably the Marriott or the like. So, anyone up for an impromptu meet? What's a good place to eat? OR.... OLIVE GARDEN. they gotta have one and someone should pick me up and take me there!
  4. No idea where our training is. No rental car most likely since its for my part time job I work every other week. And would have to be an evening meet during the week as I will leave as soon as it's done. Training will be Mon - Sat. I still have my own biz to run and have to be back Sunday for work (where I make real money).
  5. Agreed. I just don't see how stretching tires does anything positive, it can only put additional stresses in the tire that it may not have been designed to take. OP can put 275's or 285's on those rims, but only with some pretty serious fender flares.

Either 9.5 is too wide for the car or the offset is wrong, I don't think the rim should project past the sheet metal.

completely agree. On my STI, I had 18x9 rims and had the stock 245's on them. they were stretched and looked like crap, so I replaced them with 265's which was just about perfect. Stretched tires wear down quicker and yes, don't look right.

If you're going to run that wide of rims, get the tires that go with it. 225's on 9.5"??? :(

But it's your car and if you like it, guess who cares what anyone else thinks.

  6. and how wide did you go again? I can't remember...

regardless, very nice job so far. I'm extremely impressed with your vinyl install skillz, sir! I have thought about opening a vehicle wrapping/vinyl shop myself, but then think about the amount of time and patience it takes to do full vehicle wraps and I remember I have no patience. LOL

  7. ^60' 1.9 was my best launch there so far. Hard to imagine cutting a 1.7 at Fontana but I am sure it could be done (maybe not by me on my 13lb lightweight flywheel which I suspect would be a non-issue on e85)

1.8 was my best at Irwindale (AT NIGHT) with a 8.4 flat 8th mile @ 86 but I did not reproduce those numbers at Fontana, thats for sure. 8.8 vs 8.4 8th?

If I could reproduce that .4 at Fontana thats a 13.1-13.3 right there.

Biz run on E85 is SUPER impressive - particularly with the sub-100 trap speed. That car was not going to scoot any faster than his crazy run. If he was driving my car, not only would he have destroyed my time, maybe I would have gotten that 12.9-13 flat I really want

BTW MSPRANK, I can't wait to see YOUR car run at Fontana... Hell, I might not even run that day just so I can film it personally:wub:

(I bet your car could gentle start 2.4 60' and still run 12 flat:p)

bleh, bring your car up here... cool temps, almost at sea level. You have more mods than I did on my 5EAT... I see 12's in your future sir. ;)
