  1. @magopra: just for giggles...I couldn't help but to snap out my cell phone a shoot a quick foto when I came back to my car: http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/1411/05022013191.jpg
  2. JDM 2010 = EDM 2010 JDM 2011 = EDM 2011 JDM 2012 = EDM 2012 JDM 2013 (facelift) is imported to Ausralia/Oecania, but not to Western Europe (P, E, F, D, I, CH, UK, PL, L, NL, etc.)...hope they'll do sooner or later, especially for the DIT engines Ergo: EDM 2013 = EDM 2012 Ciao, Michael.
  3. Ok, I see. Sounds much like my local dealership here...sometimes their prices are really "over the top" compared to those of other European countries. From what I found, the German accessory catalogue is the one with the widest programme and best prices. Here's the link: http://www.subaru.de/allrad-fahrzeuge/legacy-boxermotor/zubehoer.html (just click on the pdf file). As far as I understand You get the JDM = EDM version in Peru, so all these accessories mount on the (2010-2012) Legacy. Unfortunately we do not (yet) have the 2013 facelift in Europe, so I can't assure that all this stuff goes 1:1 on Your car. But at least You get a clue on what may be possible... Ciao, Michael.
  4. By the way, Your foto has a certain effect...a 2013 Legacy in the front and a 1970's Beetle in the background...cool !
  5. The codes I stated are the official product codes of Subaru, so any dealer can get them and sell them (as long as they have them listed as "available" in their database). I ran a quick google check right now and found e.g. www.subaruaccesorios.cl but surely there are others in South America, just straighten down the search parameters to Your needs. At least this would help getting around having to do a single import (= transport + duty clearance cost). Ciao, Michael.
  6. @Magopra: Your grille looks much like the Subaru code J1010AJ600NN, sold in Italy at Euro 199,- incl. VAT (approx USD 270). There is also another type, code J1010AJ630, sold at Euro 279,- incl. VAT (approx USD 380). The difference between the two is the colour of the outside frame (600NN: silver, 630: black plastic) and the grille mesh position (600NN: at 3-4 cm inside the frame, 630: upfront) Hope this helps others as reference for a direct buy in Subaru. Ciao, Michael.
  7. In Central Europe the only place You can safely do this is the Western Frankfurt Highway (approx. 20 km long, 6 lanes per direction, no speed limit...). Last year I took the chance to check my Vmax right there (gps said "198 km/h")...and while I did 2 Porsches (a Cayenne and a 911 GT) got past me at ≥ 250 km/h
  8. @Gborja888: Thanks for the availability list You put up. KW is German (Fichtenberg), so no wonder they manufacture a version that fits JDM (= EURO), while the USDM version is made at their California site.
  9. Hi everyone. Sometimes when I go through a hole or something similar in a curve, my steering wheel makes a 1 cm move inwards, then rushes back in its previous position. In that instant (while the steering wheel moves), the car seems to "lose contact with the ground". So I would like to stiffen up things. I am on stock 16" wheels with 205/60's, which I have to maintain (mandatory measures for this car in Italy). Reading through this thread - I suppose I should get: 1. thing - Whiteline RSB (22mm adjustable + mount support brace -> BSR49XZ) 2. thing - get a Whiteline Front Brace strut Tower (-> KSB 639) => or what else ? For the moment I don't want to go for coilovers (too expensive for my wallet ). Thanks for Your help.
  10. => imported the car from Germany ? Wow, a long way to go from there to the Philippines.
  11. I went through this about 1,5 years ago...even though the damage was much less. Really leaves You with a sore taste... I hope for You that it's "only" the front bumper + fender and You can at least save the lights + door.
  12. => that was my same thought when I first checked on how to transport our 4 bikes...I assure You it looks much tougher than it really was in the end. No wind noise, no movement whatsoever neither at Highway speed (110 km/h) nor through curvy mountain roads ! Only thing: gas consumption went up by approx. 20%....didn't expect otherwise though (air flow resistance). Only way to avoid this would have been to use a 4-bike loader on a tow hook, but for that price (approx. Euro 1000,-) ? No thanks.
  13. Fully loaded and ready to go (came with the sun , left with the rain ): http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/2741/p1010722s.jpg http://img862.imageshack.us/img862/9044/p1010725q.jpg http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/4937/p1010724ud.jpg
  14. Did this: 1) plastic protection for front + side underbumper, made of black plastic "L" profile, 3 mm thick http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/6379/p1010703b.jpghttp://img16.imageshack.us/img16/2685/p1010702r.jpg ... it's not yet the 100% perfect fit, 2 little waves have remained due to the heavy curving in that area...I'll fix it with heating gun + counterprofile as soon as I can. Although from some 1-2 metres away You don't see it. Might also cut away that front part where it curves upwards, in order to keep it flowing with the bumper. My first priority was to get good coverage of the underbumper area (30 mm) + front part (5 mm) against scratching/scraping. 2) stainless steel door sills for front and rear http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/8923/p1010704j.jpghttp://img545.imageshack.us/img545/6504/p1010705z.jpg ... I know the car is dirty outside, just had the time the other day to clean it inside....next 2-3 days are going to be rainy, so a bath needs to wait
  15. Oy, that's one sexy car from "down under" And put in nice light too - floats well around the body shape. Have fun with it !
  16. Try Hella, Philips or Nolden. Those are high-quality + street-legal kits. Somebody tried the Hella LED-Flex http://bilder.nillies.org/subaru/LegacyLED.jpg Somebody else tried the Hella Combi-Light (Fog+DRL) code 1N 010 294-001, just google that code, the brochures + information just pop up. As it seems, in some Euro countries dealerships offer local Kits made for some of their types/models, those look roughly like this : http://www.cardreams.at/upload/TFL%20Impreza.jpg http://www.subaru.se/commonmedia/images/news/2011/110429/drl_led_outback_s.jpg http://www.subaru.se/commonmedia/images/news/2010/101006/led_drl_s.jpg http://www.ms-design.com/uploads/tx_wcmsproducts/ms-design-tagfahrlicht-Subaru-forester.jpg DRL only http://www.imagebam.com/image/e29cf1131922964, DRL dim down http://www.imagebam.com/image/46737c131922969, DRL dim down with blink http://www.imagebam.com/image/e3f601131922972 or like this (made with Nolden DRL's) http://www.motor-talk.de/bilder/nolden-led-tfl-im-outback-bl-bp-g7811841/tfl-on-i203048511.html
  17. Squiggly, unfortunately that body kit is NOT on my car, the fotos are taken from the Japanese LIBERAL AERO website. If You check their site (+ prices !) You know why I don't have it....only whishful thinking here !
  18. http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/4233/01kj.jpghttp://img52.imageshack.us/img52/3937/05k.jpghttp://img534.imageshack.us/img534/8697/07k.jpghttp://img521.imageshack.us/img521/1444/12kz.jpghttp://img408.imageshack.us/img408/5619/02k.jpghttp://img404.imageshack.us/img404/3604/10kt.jpg :wub::wub:...if only it weren't so darn expensive !!!
  19. My previous post was meant as a joke...the Tommykaira Kit is far away from being able to be called "stylish"...looks like it comes from another - bigger - car and was roughly slammed on. Just like the types of Bodykits they sold for Mantas back in the Eighties. The Liberal Aero Kit posted some page before is waaayyy better
  20. or in a OPEL MANTA Tuning show  see this: http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/562/img0936nd.jpghttp://img824.imageshack.us/img824/8947/8b2ce141812555253e215da.jpg http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/1401/000343986.jpghttp://img594.imageshack.us/img594/6204/447opelmanta1.jpg http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/1425/picsmed171242501opelman.jpghttp://img442.imageshack.us/img442/405/20391393.jpg
  21. I bought them online here in Italy. As You are in the US, I suggest e.g. VLeds, I know a few other users have bought lamps from them: http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED-Bulbs/CornerSide-Marker-LED/White-LED/6K-WHITE-15W-LED-BULBS-p9371332-1-2.html Besides, I saw they also have other products in their list that emit much more light than this solution. But You can surely find them through ebay or other vendors, too...
  22. If You mean the front position lights they are T10 types, I use these ones (1 Watt with dispersion lens): http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/6594/hplente.jpghttp://img253.imageshack.us/img253/7346/hplentefronte.jpg and that's the effect You get: http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/3581/p1010512r.jpghttp://img214.imageshack.us/img214/8167/p1010497y.jpghttp://img718.imageshack.us/img718/8159/p1010498u.jpg
  23. AFAIK K2Gear commercialzes/installs, but they don't make stuff. Liberal Aero instead does...infact the bumper has just that same shape, also offering various options (fogs/DRL's/genuine colour): http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http://www.liberal-aero.com/products/parts/legacy_brbm/index.html&usg=ALkJrhhduZtRbGNUQsIp0tSZq94Fq4PFRQ weren't it that expensive, I would already have ordered a full conversion kit...
  24. That front end is a full-customized bumper + lip + Cayenne-style DRL's + grille.... That kit coming from e.g. LIBERAL AERO rates USD 2200,- (painted), EXW Japan
  25. there You go: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.k2k2.jp%2F http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid/569888/car/493214/1749179/photo.aspx&usg=ALkJrhgaEHWkDUA70ebgMdgOMrfU6CSM0Q
