Possible. I just remember seeing one of these is the TCU cracked posts and someone said they cracked it years ago and was part of their tuning process.

I do most of the time. -
Back from the dead. One of the tuners on here has claimed to cracked the TCU. I am not sure why there has not been much progress made by others on this. Unless he means he is able to "control" the TCU from the EC parameters he is setting i.e. per gear boost.

Well hello thread! Need to fix my overheating before I buy more parts -

I had unplugged the o2 and turned on the car to test something, obv got a code, which I never cleared. Thought that might have something to do with it, but I hadn't ever read about having a code resetting the ecu. Don't know what happened. I turned the key to acces for a few sec, then cranked and it started fine -

My wife went to start the 07 LGT one morning and it would just crank. She took the other car. Looking at 07 I realized the ECU reset itself, first time this had ever happened, and not sense. IAM at .5, lv cleared, very odd. -
Mine remembers to shift too early on occasion. That's fun being in too high of a gear trying to go.

The famous stumble...fixed?
gimpydingo replied to Brian3676's topic in Turbo Powertrains (2.0GT, 2.5GT, 2.5XT)
Thanks. I do use Chevron gas most of the time and switch to Shell every few tanks (91 oct is the highest I can get). I've used a bit of MMO in 2 tanks over the past 6 months. I do have something else going on, possible bad o2 or something I need to sort. -

I have an 07 5EAT LGT. I do get a pause/hesitation around 1800 - 2500+ rpms when going from a stop. Then the car finally gets going after 2500+ (boost). Not sure if this is legit stutter or just it being a subaru + turbo + 5EAT. Happens more when it's warmed up (heat soak?) No other hesitation through the rpm range or other gears. -
Do you need new axles or can you just get new boots? Obviously just boots will be cheaper and can maintain the OE axles. I went through this as well, ended up with a SURTRACK SB8047 (SB-8047), new axle not a reman. It's been working great, no issues. I do plan on rebooting my orig axle and (whenever) I do my suspension I'll swap it out.

After the car warms up you would think the issue would be consistent. What was the car doing that last 5 minutes? I assume you shut the car off when you got home. Rough start? Stutter? The soap is for keeping the IC clean. Though now I just pressure wash the entire engine with boiling industrial degreaser and only a light misting of soap on the IC for protection. Also running a garden hose through the throttle body is a great way to get that deep engine clean; forget Chemtool, Seafoam, etc... -

try addin soap to da intercooler -
And ready to push the car into a lake. So a chunk of the gasket came off when trying to wrangle it back out...I assume it went down past the TVG's. Soooo now what? Deal with fuel rails and take off the manifold? Guess so. ARGH And any write ups on that? Can't seem to find anything complete EDIT: Since it's small and rubber it will prob burn up, worst case stuck in a valve for a few sec until it melt :/ Also looks like it was both gaskets leaking on the driver side. Ordering 2 more, since I know I'll destroy them getting them out. Any way to test for leaks before putting everything back together?

I did post this on the what did you do to your... thread, but that's moving fast. So back here: Found the cause (one of) of my high A trim. My IM gaskets that I just replaced are leaking on the drivers side, seems to be right at the cross bar/bracket. I have it pulled back up, trying to clean under there but there is no room. Gaskets look to be all seated and I did have it secured flush previously. Any suggestions? EDIT: I saw a vid of an 07 OBXT and it looks like the IM has grooves/teeth in the gasket recess. I would assume the LGT has the same and I wonder if I have it pinched a bit and not quite lined up.
