Eh I wouldn't call it rice. I think it's sort of a cool thing to do for a temporary use until you can buy an true CBE or have one made up. I wouldn't see doing this with the intention of leaving it for a long time.

I don't know if anyone has but it's made by valvoline. So if you trust valvoline oil then no reason not to try it out.

That's what I do..granted I Havnt had the car long enough to have any problems arise out of this but there is a lot of faith in the rotella t6 5-40 synthetic.
