  1. Same here dpc - I changed mine at 1603 and then again at 5787. Will then do every 5K miles. Have 6700 on her now. Hasn't burned a drop of oil yet.
  2. And I thought you just kept turning and turning and turning until my arm muscles bulged and it wouldn't turn anymore??? Morale of the story is buy a torque wrench if you plan to do any work on your car correctly;)
  3. DOJ, just as an FYI, you can remove the relay boxes and cables and just use the bulb, ballast and jumper. The relay boxes should not even be in the engine bay. happy to help you if you want to PM me. As long as you used/installed the 3M tape above 65-70 degrees, it will be fine below zero.
  4. Looks great but I think I would have gone with a muffler with a single exit pipe as the dual pipes don't really fit the rear bumper opening all that well. Awesome job!
  5. If you ever look at something that makes you cut wires...stay FAR...FAR AWAY! If it's not plug-n-play than don't buy it!
  6. I strongly suggest you only buy LED bulbs from Xenon depot. Steve takes great care of his customers and his products are second to none. Quality and warranty are first rate!
  7. If you replace the HB bulbs you maintain the DRL function...only brighter. You do not lose the safety feature. Not sure where the concerns coming from.
  8. The XD bulbs work great in the fogs. That's exactly what I did and extremely happy. No reason to upgrade to the Motos IMPO.
  9. The 3M tape that comes with the ballasts works great...no drilling or screws.
  10. You don't have to run any wires across the grill when installing HIDs on a Legacy. You do not need or use the relay kit. Very simple plug-n-play install.
  11. TTG - keeping the Legacy until one of my twins graduates college this spring. I am then going to do the GTP on my 15 and get him a brand new 16 or a factory order 17 loaded with ES and every option imaginable. At that time, I am going to either get a 2016 Camaro 2SS or a Jaguar XF. The Jag's have come a long way and the reviews have been excellent. I love the Audi 6 and 7 too but they are everywhere and I want something different that not everyone is driving around in. Plus, the Jag got a better review than the Audi's. I have ZERO interest in the Holden SS but I know someone that plopped down over $50K on one and he appears to be happy with it.
  12. skye - the Camaro SS is not based on the Holden. The new Camaro is built on the latest GM architecture used on the cadillac ATS which has won numerous awards. Now the Chevy SS Sedan is a different story and will be extinct after the 2017 model year...at least that's what GM is saying. Just making sure we are clearly distinguishing between the Camaro SS and the SS Sedan;)
  13. Test driving a loaded 2016 Camaro 2SS either tomorrow or Saturday. 0-60 in 4.0 sec:icon_lol:
  14. It's great that you can get this in AUS but it will never become available in the US.
  15. Andrew, you do not need to use the relays or tap the battery when installing this kit on a Legacy...just an FYI. Simple plug-n-play as the ballasts draw little current and the factory wiring can easily handle them.
  16. Right there with you Mach2. I am looking very seriously at the New Jag XE and XF. Both have received excellent reviews and the XE beat the BMW 3-Series in a recent test which no one has ever done in the past. Cars come with 5 years 60K miles free maintenance too which caught my attention. I never keep anything past 30 anyway but I must say I love the new Jags and they have received very high marks in the recent past for being a top notch automobile versus the "always in the shop" cars of the past. They've come a long way!
  17. ^^^gotta love those Bimmers always being the shops too and the high costs to service and repair:spin:
  18. I get it...good luck to you and take them for everything you can get!
  19. After what VW did by lying and cheating about their diesel cars...as much as I like VW, and I have owned two, I will never buy another VW again! Everyone needs to make them feel significant pain and stop buying their cars. Inexcusable!!!!!
  20. ^^^I travel extensively all across the US and Canada and rent a TON of cars. When I know I'm in the market, I rent what I am interested in buying so I can drive it for a few days and get to really know the car. Taking a car on a 15-30 minute test drive is very inadequate and doesn't share with you what you really need to know before biting the bullet. Car buying is very emotional and an large % of the population buy cars that in a week or so they hate and wish they never bought.
  21. The MKZ is a VERY nice car and don't think that because it's a FORD at heart the build quality isn't as good as the Suby. I just bought my daughter a 2015 Ford Fusion SE Hybrid and that car is built like a tank and the quality is very high. Not a big FORD fan but the Fusion and MKZ are very nice cars and solid.
