I've seen a ej25d take over 30psi and it lasted about a month.. lol. I plan on only making 350 to the wheels lol so the block will hold i have faith in it

has anyone seen a complete stock spec rebuild kit for ej257? with the crank and all??? i'm thinking if i can get it for the right price and stock wrx turbo stuff i'm gonna rebuild my 25d into a 257. cause after some research the block is pretty much the same. If i can find the heads from one It will be a 257. and that. i can make 350whp. with that I think i can cut my build cost from like 10 or 15k to like 6k. and that is a good price for trans rear diff suspension engine wheels and otherthings.

I wanna say yes. But I could be wrong.

any hg for the 25d that isn't stock is better. I dont know if they're are any brands that are better then others. @_@

i'm now going to do it for the hell of it!!! I may just buy a cheapish EJ257 and gut it swap it in to my blown 25d. see how long it lasts with just stock wrx power!

OK. So my header rattle's like crazy. would it hurt if i cut the heat shield off??? and leave it that way till i upgrade and buy some heat wrap??

I really hope my build will have good low end. gonna take 2.2 block. throw 04 wrx heads on. completely build the engine. standalone ecu and i've no idea what turbo i'm gonna run. :/ I haven't looked in to that. I know I think i've figured up 3k for the building of the block. then another 1 or 2k for heads. plus cams and stuff. :/ yeah. its gonna be bad ass!

Yeah. I say go wrx then just upgrade turbos and such. and you'll be smoking wrx's all day. Heck if you can find one a turbo forester swap would be good too. Theres a local guy here who has a bad ass forester.

Lots! pistons at least 500 alone. so its up there. How much can you get the engine for. Is it a short block or long?

I just looked it up they do. But its only on the concept car. :/ maybe one day.
