  1. I was thinking about this yesterday and was wondering if there was any progress on this item. This is not the exhaust, it is the drive train. There are bushings on the rear diff that connect to the cross member. These have been identified as the culprit. No one currently has an after market replacement for these bushings. I'm honestly thinking of making my own inserts to, if not solve, but at least dampen the issue. I have STI tranny mount and lowered car. Nothing else has been altered, other than Stage 2+ power levels.
  2. Spotted... Waukesha, WI - Saturday March 1st at 3:30 PM Silver GT, I waved, you just looked at me like I was crazy...
  3. Yah, I've been around a while... I have been on Nasico for many years, just lurking around.
  4. I live in Wisconsin.... Don't remember why, but I do... I just meet up with the Nasioc guys on a semi irregular schedule... FYI, I have been changing my own oil since I have owned this car. I just finished replacing the rotors last weekend.
  5. Seriously!!! If you have a solution and need a test, let me know the details. I have access to a lift and can put it in for testing.
  6. Yep, saw that, but I don't see any specs for the ratings of the pressure plates, friction discs or sets.....
  7. Maybe I missed it, but I couldn't find any specifications on the SPEC clutches on the website. Which I might add, isn't very easy to use.
  8. Group buy? I would be interested in a completed set, Flywheel, Clutch, Friction plate, etc.
  9. Very good advice. I already had my ECM and relay replaced when the TSB was released.
  10. When it was cold (10 or lower) I heard the noise all the time. Now that it's warmer, I can only reproduce it by hitting the gas on a tight turn. Mods: Stage II+ Protune ION Springs on stock struts JDM Rear sway bar
  11. I was on a stock map for a while, Fan TSB, and I still had the noise. Plus, there is at least one other person that claims this happening on a stock 05. Bushings seems to be the most logical thing at the moment.
  12. Let's get this straight.... 1. This problem is happening on stock cars with stock ECU's. In the reported cases, the rear diff was replaced with no positive effect on removing the noise. 2. Engine management "upgrades" have no direct link to this issue. It could be argued that more power cause the problem to occur faster, but that has yet to be proven. 3. Lowering the car, as many would like to think, causes this issue to be more pronounced. This again has yet to be proven. 4. Rear diff fluid, synthetic, dyno, etc does not make a difference, it's not the internal working of the diff. As far as anyone can tell the be explaination is worn mounting bushing for the rear diff and/or cross members. WRX bushings will not fit the LGT. There is your summary, can we please stop rehashing the same ground up ideas?
  13. Ordered, if I get them next week, I will look at swapping them out next weekend. $40 well spent to for a possible solution, hope they fit...
