  1. ok I finally haev some money and am chewing on this idea. yall's thoughts on aftermarket headlights for the LGT? I'm gonna buy another set and mod them. I wont mod my own again. I can take my time if I do it this way. been keeping up but not 100% Looks like there's a LOT of different projectors and all that work for this so.. what's the easiest route on this?
  2. YAY! I was quoted for teh correctness!
  3. try the outback sedan. it's pre donk'ed already.
  4. I always wondered before buying my LGT how my friend that had one knew where he was going. the problem was I was looking beyond the cutoff line.. its a matter of where you look it seems. the LGT halogens are fine to me.. but when I drive my truck with the open housing halogens.. I feel like my brights are on.
  5. I just disabled DRLs. srsly tho to see if there is an actual problem and what the resolution may be in case I encounter it.. you know how 05s are with headlights.
  6. I would certainly like a writeup. the words "practically make them a bolt on affair" are words I like to hear.
  7. was it red? you need a GT.. they're better'n 3.0s I dont see many used ones.. your best bet is probably SoG.. I go to SoK a lot but I never see any uh.. subarus there.. only used pickups and stuff..
  8. you ever go down e/w connector? I swear I've seen an svx several times there.
  9. such beautiful grass.... how can I get grass like that? oh and the cars are.. well.. donks as usual.
  10. wow.. apparently chuck norris can post.. and still have 0 posts.. now that IS amazing..
  11. ah, yea where all that crazy construction is eh? I dont even go to that area when I visit. (still lots of family there.) but if you see me around wave or honk or something! I'll probably be down your way in a few weeks, at least for a day or so. (I hate going there anymore.)
  12. hey I grew up in augusta. SA is ~hwy 56 area ya? you in the military? I think one of the gates for gordon is out that way.
  13. I think its more primitive than that. I think this type of car modification.. the "bling" factor is a mating tactic among humanoids.. much like a bird dancing or making a nest full of shiny things. humans are crazy.. good thing i'm not one of them.
  14. thats something that donk owners do.. they do their own product endorsement.... for some reason.. around here alone I've seen the finding nemo car, the bud light mobile, and a reeses pieces car. makes no sense to me but.. its quite "normal" in this circle apparently. I suppose its a way for them to get recognized. This sort of thing is all about individuality and well.. if you remember the "fiding nemo" car.. you remember it a lot better than "this big blue impala with big rims."
  15. yup.. my last dealer LOST the ones that held my engine cover on.. cost me a pretty penny to fix their mistake too. iirc the bumper has ~ 12-16 popits that hold it in.. they're around the front on the bottom and then I think 2 of them are inside the wheel wells on each side. You can run it with less.. I'm proof of that.
  16. yup. the 1st time I felt like I was ripping my car apart. the 2nd time.. it was far less of a pita than I thought. a word to the wise tho.. if your car is more than a year old BUY MORE POPITS FIRST! you will break some or lose some or find some that just will not come out and you have to destroy them. I am down 2 or 3 in my bumper as it is. if you ever see a SWP LGT bumper on the side of the road.. its probably mine! I'm too cheap to buy new ones.. maybe next time I take the bumper off I'll replace them all.
  17. its really not that bad. I can change the headlight out in less than 30 minutes now that I know the process.
  18. can we plant a few thousand of these in California? maybe around where ELF so often "saves the earth" by burning houses and releasing tons of co2 into the air needlessly..
  19. you're missing the last 2. It is fairly easy tho. I WOULD be doing it again soon had it not been for someone with more time to sit around on forums than me. and thats saying a lot considering how much time I have to sit around and forum.
  20. I think I'm just gonna pass. I cant find the time to go up to acworth to look at this thing and its $100 for a single headlight.. not to mention the clear lense projector I'd have to source.. I dont have the money for this right now.
  21. thinkin about a blackout/hid/led project myself. was very weary of aftermarket headlights tho. i'm actually considering buying a repaired one from a salvage yard for $100.. just one.. and experimenting on it.. but I dunno yet. I want to use high quality components, hid clear lense projectors, proper branded oem brand/color hid systems (none of this kit crap that I've ued in the past.) and have an oem quality light output. I dont want to black out the ring, just the reflective side of the 05 headlight. as for LEDs..well I dunno yet.
  22. they could park their ATV on 20s under it.
  23. yup.. we have donks even out here in the rural suburbs of ATL. they just have a ranch brick house with a carport on 4 acres
