Official "Looking to swap interior" thread!

No front seats? Damn. I would come pick these up if I didn't think my car would look goofy with black seats only in the rear -

Ahh ok, cleared up confusion with me and a coworker (how many engineers does it take to...). Thanks! -

Not to sound like a total n00b, but can someone explain why we're only supposed to clamp one side? Is it because we're clamping one side and marking the other? If we're not marking the other side, won't the valves bend if the cams are off? I've got plenty of time before I need to do this (25k, or 1 year), but I just want to know how and why -
I almost went through the home-buying process this year, but I decided to wait another year or two and get a bigger down payment saved up. Whether it's here or not is still up in the air... the gf wants to move to Texas when she's done with grad school but I would really prefer to stay here. Now that I think about it, maybe I should just buy a house anyway so that my anchor is set

I'm getting ready to be a homeowner in the next few years and seeing the rescue you did to the house gets me excited for a transformation project of my own

Sorry man, I just saw this in the high-mileage thread. I wish I knew more about what the stuff is supposed to look like new so I could help you. Best of luck on the fix and keep us updated as to what it is!

With Joe Philbin's son falling in the ice along with those 3 snowmobilers, I will probably forego ice racing this year

Whats wrong with your HIDs? Which kit did you go with? -
My joke to a coworker: "Argon walks into a bar and orders a beer. The bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve noble gasses here." Argon doesn't react." His reponse: "I hope that when he takes his place at the Periodic Table they provide him with a seat that is Argonomically correct."

My silverstar's just burned out after 9 months and over 13,000 miles. They weren't bad, just not great. At first they were blue-ish, then they were "normal" for a while, then the last few days before they burned out they had lost a significant amount of lighting ability and had turned a yellow-ish color. After reading about replacements, I'll be getting some Osram Rallye 65W bulbs. Those seem like the best low-beam halogen bulb on the market. -
Does anybody do any ice racing? I am interested in doing the Ice Auto X stuff if anybody knows of anything happening in Wisconsin

HOW TO: Fix your heated seat
SCHM1AN replied to schwartzki's topic in Walkthroughs :: Basic Operation & Maintenance
I found the culprit after looking carefully at the vacation pictures. Fuses #6, #13, #16, and #17 are all related to the seat heaters. Sure enough, #17, a 15A fuse from the battery to the Seat Heater Relay had blown. Two others had singed teeth but still were able to let the current flow. -
Awesome! I haven't been there since I was a kid. I'll get around to checking it out again one of these days

MightyShep, did I see you at Chuck's Place this morning? I drive past there everyday on my way to work

Not to be a tard, but I have to ask... I'm assuming Lake Michigan and not Lake Superior... or even Lake Winnebago. Which part? The entire east side of our mitten-shaped-state is bound by 1.3 quadrillion gallons of smelly water

So you were at Culver's for lunch and didn't even have one of their burgers? You're missing out. Kopp's is another good one if you're ever down in Glendale, Greenfield, or Waukesha... but come with an appetite. Though if you are going to stick in Ozaukee County, Hefner's in Cedarburg is good and Wayne's in Grafton/Cedarburg is good too--especially on Wednesday nights which is car night.
