  1. Been looking to do this too, thanks for digging up some info!
  2. I believe frank_ster has the F1 VB installed, so it's capable of holding more power/torque than the stock trans
  3. That sounds like a real option for when *knock on wood* the engine goes
  4. Yeah I'm thinking I just had a spell of bad luck between those two things, and a tube of grease I ordered being dented and ruined in my mailbox. I'm hoping that next weekend I can try and get everything wired up and back in the car
  5. Well 5 weeks later I can finally resume this project. I bought a volume ribbon on ebay to replace the one I messed up. The guy sent it out to the wrong address and was marked as "undeliverable as addressed". I opened up an eBay dispute case with him and when the package came back to him he resent it to my real address which also went "undeliverable as addressed". I had enough of it and escalated the case to let eBay handle it. The guy refunded me my measly $17 and I ordered a new ribbon from a different seller. Also, I ordered a solder sucker from amazon and received that 4 weeks after I placed the order. Hopefully all of the obstacles have been cleared and I can get the Nexus back in my car soon.
  6. Something doesn't look right to me... how did you manage that? http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag28/tomsanity/Subaru%20Legacy%20GT%20timing%20belt%20replacement%20project/2012-12-26234258_zps62d8d649.jpg
  7. My Nexus is flush against the opening. You have to get a Dremel and take out a bit of the vents to get it this way. I believe CrazyGoat is getting a dock for the Nexus and will then have the ability to retain the original power/aux locations but then run the cables from the dock out the back.
  8. Probably because the right side is meant to be aimed higher so as to not blind the oncoming lane. Does it have auto-leveling headlights?
  9. How is the IS250? My uncle just bought one today
  10. The road crews are too good. Everything was plowed by 6am except for our little subdivision
  11. I haven't rooted my GS3 yet, so I was running around without any data on my tablet unless I was at home or at the office
  12. CrazyGoat, thanks for the help! Shortly after I posted, I tried soldering the power button on the Nexus like you had mentioned in the video with cutting into the exterior circle- well I cut a little too much off and ended up ruining the ribbon. No matter how many times I tried to re-solder the connections I could never get the screen to turn on/off by touching my wires together. And for anybody who is reading this and interested in doing this to their car- make sure you have something to remove solder like a solder sucker or a solder wick as soldering to those connectors is not an easy task.
  13. CrazyGoat, how did you tap into the nav buttons? Did you remove the board and solder onto the big white squares in the first picture or did you solder onto somewhere on the back of the panel in the second picture? You'll have to forgive me- I'm an ME and electronics just aren't my thing
  14. Suspension is for a sedan. They've got the saggy butt spacers, but I don't blame you for purchasing new OEM replacements
  15. If your stock suspension has lasted you 200k, I have 90k on mine that I will be taking off soon and would sell
  16. HPS are a good street pad, but in my autocross experience, after the first few runs they require more pedal pressure to get the same response. For that reason, I'm going to go with the HP+ as my pad during the AutoX season
  17. I saw you on the roundabout between Town Line Rd and Main St
  18. Saw a black LGT with tint and a black grille in Sussex and an 06 Spec.B at Sommer's Anyone on here?
  19. Give All-Wheel Tuning a call. They're some of the old guys from Synergy, just a different name
  20. ir2005, I believe I saw you this morning passing me on Mequon Rd and turn onto Pilgrim. Silver LGT with red flaps and an exhaust?
  21. I have a set of used Osrams (still work) if you want to test them out for cheap before you buy a new set
  22. If you go to thread tools -> subscribe, you can subscribe without making all of us read your post
  23. I think the dual-bypass filtration system is also worthy of mention for clean heads like that
