  1. There are many alternatives to FAS. My son had similar behaviors when he was younger. He's been diagnosed with autism and severe ADHD. There was no alcohol being consumed during the pregnancy.

I guess the difference is that we never tolerated any kind of misbehavior. But its really hard to punish a toddler when they don't correlate the punishment with the bad behavior. He never understood why he was in trouble no matter how many times we tried to explain it.

  2. Or in this case, it could be Fcking Asshole Syndrome.

But seriously, those types of behavior need to be tackled as early as possible. Although some kids just don't relate consequences with their actions. Mine for example.... It makes for some interesting challenges.

  3. 0700 is just an indicator that there is a code stored in the TCU. It doesn't refer to a specific problem. It's just a trigger for the CEL to come on. There are a whole slew of TCU codes that the 0700 could be referring to. Use a vag-com and freessm to read the TCU for codes, or the onboard reader if it works for TCU codes.
  4. oh, and we lived in a county area, not city. the sherrifs there really hated us andmade a point to stop us any time they saw us, and kept a very close watch for us doing stupid shit. that and gilbert cops had a real boner for busting teens for racing if they even passed another car when accelerating. they didnt even bother with speed references, they would tell the judges that our rate of acceleration compared to others was significantly faster and unsafe. i actually got out of 4 of those traps in court tho. i could probably type for days on the stupid stuff i did, got caught for and got away with, but its not really that interesting

I'm sure I got pulled over all the time because I was a teen. It had nothing to do with the 20-30 over the speed limit I was doing because I was invincible.

  5. Since I'm still on my soap box, I'll continue what i was talking about. The concern is the huge increase in autism diagnoses over the last 10-20 years. People like to ignore what actually makes up the diagnoses. It has changed to encompass a very large amount of kids that would have been given a meaningless label, like sensory processing disorder or general developmental delay.

Obviously, all these new cases of autism must be from some evil pharmaceutical cause. It couldn't be a slightly better understanding of autism.

  6. You can have your pediatrician waive most vaccines if you feel strongly about it. It worked in SoFL as well as here in WA. In our case, the waiver was due to a pediatrician giving the second dose of a vaccine a week late. This meant that the vaccine didn't count and the little one couldn't go to school. After notifying the school nurse that she was less intelligent than a pile of dog shit, we had our pediatrician write a letter. That was all they needed to get him back into school.

The trend of avoiding vaccines seems to be from the possible correlation between vaccines and autism. It is severely perpetuated by the fact that most autism symptoms show up around 18mo, which happens to also be when a bunch of vaccines are given. Since both of my boys are diagnosed autistic, I did a shit ton of research into this. I've read nothing even remotely conclusive. It seems like parents are just freaking out and desperately looking for someone to blame for their "misfortune".

  7. The E-series spec is a different thing than the C-series.

E-series spec is for diesel engines with particulate filter and with Selective Catalyst Reagent (Urea) which are found on big rigs.

C-series spec is for engines with particulate filter and Three-way catalyst which are found on passenger cars and other smaller vehicles where local high temperatures occurs.

They don't care about the tiny market of small diesels. They make their money from trucks, so there is no reaeon for them to get a c2/3 spec.

Isn't the main difference nice between the c and e spec relating to emissions systems?
