My almost 2 year old still doesn't say mama, mommy, etc. Yet she can say the dogs names, Bernie and Charlie. Drives my wife crazy In other news, I knocked my wife up again

Yeah, our pediatrician has experience with premies and special needs kids. He was recommended by one the the NICU neonatologists. While this is important growth time, he's been happy with her development, and she just recently hit this plateau. He is giving her an extra 6 months than normal to try and get on the chart. I think the most likely scenario is they will want to give her growth hormones. But I'm sure there are pros and cons to that.

We did the helmet for about 8 weeks. 23 hours a day. Once she got adjusted to it she was fine. And getting it to fit so as to not rub was a pain. Regarding the other comments...daughter eats fine and is very active. Our pediatrician is actually letting us hold off until 24 months instead of sending us at 18 months. She was small at birth, 2lbs 8oz. The hope was she would catch up, but she seems to have hit a plateau lately. She had been steadily growing until 18 months.

Starting to get a little worried about my daughters growth rate. 21 months next week and only 18 pounds. She's been stuck at 18 lbs for almost 3 months. She has gotten a little taller, as I don't have to hunch over to hold her hand when she walks. We will need to take her to a specialist at 24 months. Anyone have any experience with premature babies, or growth hormones?

Today is kinda a sad day for me. I've had this setup at work where I got every other Monday off, but I'm taking on a new role and the department I'm moving into isn't going to give me every 10th day off So, today is my last Monday off with my daughter. At almost 20 months old, flying solo for a day is a lot easier than when she was 2 months. And it is a huge change from when I was single and had this gig going We laid in bed for over an hour this morning watching Yo Gabba Gabba, had chick-fil-a for breakfast, met mommy for lunch, and went over my parents house and hung out with gammie and grandpa for a couple hours. I'm going to miss having her all to myself every other monday

For me, a benefit of having a second kid is that my wife said she will get her tubes tied during the c-section

Seems old, doesn't it? I start doing math that ill be x many years old when the kids are however old and it scares me.

We didn't even make it one week with the baby in our room. She was unbelievably noisy. At least she earned a nickname: squeakers We are trying to have another, but the longer it takes, the more I start having second thoughts. I'm getting old

Star Spec's have been out for awhile and the design is getting somewhat old compared to newer offerings. Car And Driver did a summer tire review in July and the Dunlop's were at the bottom of the list, compared to first place back in 2009. The mufflers should fit, but not the intermediate pipe.
