  1. Fogs without the SRF (Steering Responsive Fogs) are plastic, and glass with SRF. The Morimoto's are incredible, almost equally as bright as the factory HID. I highly recommend the Morimoto XBs, they throw a ton of light!!
  2. Agreed, not a risk either one of us are willing to take.
  3. Miro, I wish we lived a little closer, this could make a great afternoon wrenching on both our rides. The lack of a fixed engagement point has been bothering me for almost 5 years now. Definitely want to do this mod.
  4. More thanks as I head mine pop tonight! Excellent write up, I will be fixing it tomorrow
  5. I tend to go on adventures and often find myself a hundred of miles from anything and lucky to have cell service. Better to be prepared than to be stuck. This isn't everything I have stored away but here are some good ideas.. http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/1946/1egw.jpg
  6. You are totally right about buying a new set, just haven't got around to it. But its more of a piece of mind thing than anything else, just knowing that they are there just in case.
  7. I keep them in the foam organizer under the trunk liner along with tools and some other things just in case of an emergency. They are old and used, but in the event I needed them, they will work and keep me going until I can buy new ones. In my opinion, they are the equivalent to the undersized 50MPH max spare tire. With all the adventuring that I do, I never know how far away from civilization I may be at any given time. Better safe than sorry.
  8. This sums up exactly what did as well, even down to keeping the used ones as spares
  9. Haven't looked at this thread in almost a year. I'm at 80K now after a few cross country trips. I changed my plugs at 75K in my garage a couple months ago. It was very easy and took less than an hour. No need to raise the engine or anything too complicated. Just removed the battery and the plastic intake. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. I will help the best I can.
  10. Yeah, definitely let us know, I'm sold minus hearing a review.
  11. I have no problem spending a whole day changing the plugs. I really just enjoy it. If its a PITA, I wont do it again, but I will try most things once.
  12. Shit, is it that tough? I am at 53K, I need to stop driving so much.
  13. Yeah, my cupholder already had it. The ring reduces the brightness a lot but distrubutes the light around the cuphold and little better than the picture posted before.
  14. This thread actually inspired me to do this tonight, I ran to autozone and bought an $8 LED kit. The clear plastic ring is not part of the factory light kit because I have it. Very easy install, Thanks ChasWS for idea.
