  1. That is exactly how mine broke on my 2010 I was referring in my previous post in this thread. Excellent fix! Wish I had thought of that years ago. That will save quite a few people some frustration. Thanks for the post Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. LKA operates in two states. By default, when the car is started it is passive. Meaning in your example it would be beep and show a visual warning in the instrument cluster. If you press the button on the steering wheel, it becomes active lane keep and will display an icon in the instrument cluster. When in active mode, it will attempt to physically keep you in your lane if its “locked” onto the lines. With direct driver input, it will not override your steering. But when you start to drift, it will attempt to pull back into the center of your lane. It was weird at first because the steering wheel moves slightly to get you centered. 3. Are you selling the custom wire harness you made? I’m interested in that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. This is so true. The Nav system in my 2010 was useless. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Don’t forget the quick release end links to use the AWD to its fullest over extreme terrain. It’s makes traversing a crowded parking lot much easier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. My dash is not rattling but my sunroof is rattling/creeking. It took me a while to figure out what it was. I was cleaning the inside of the glass and it made noise when I applied a very small amount of pressure. Every bump I hit, I can hear the seal rub against the roof. I can replicate the sound every time I gently apply upward pressure on the glass. Anyone else experience this? If so, any idea on a solution? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have ordered a few times from in the past 4-6 months, in my experience the shipments went out within 24 hours. You should give them a call, they have really good customer service.
  8. Mine lights up whenever the headlights are on, no matter which position the shifter is in. Tested this last night after reading through this thread.
  9. Should be an easy swap. I backed up on ramps, swapped the bar and bushings, and was done in 20 or so minutes. I had my car about a month when I did it as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. That's what I was thinking in February when I bought my '17, but I personally don't enjoy driving it like I do my 2010. I'm not complaining about the car itself, its safe, reliable, comfortable etc...just my personal preference and how I like to drive. I made the choice to buy it, but I have been second guessing that decision lately. During inclement weather up here in New England, I use my Jeep Wrangler, (which is a 5 speed!) so the AWD is less of a factor than when I bought my last Legacy in the fall of 2009.
  11. In my last Legacy, I had three pedals....they did not consult with me prior about all this simulated shift nonsense either.... I love my new one, but its no longer fun to drive. For that reason alone, I don't think I'll purchase a new one if another manufacturers offers a good ole manual transmission (slowly turning into a dream I know)
  12. I think the misunderstanding here is the wording, I think he means "simulated gearing," not "simulated shifts."
  13. Its funny you mentioned this, a lot of us Legacy owners, including myself, have installed Turn-as-Tail kit. I personally like the look.
  14. Guys, what bulb type is the map and dome light? The chart in Post #1 does not list it.
  15. No need to take the bumper off, lift the front end and install from underneath. It took me maybe 20 minutes per side doing it this way.
  16. With my 2010 Legacy, the seem from the wheel well to the head light assembly would pop out with all of the fasteners in place. There are tabs in that seem that click in that are VERY easily damaged. I learned that the hard way because I have to remove the front bumper to change the low beam. If those are damaged, the bumper will continue to pop out, but you have very little risk of it falling off because all of the clips are still in place. It is just aesthetically annoying as hell. I pop mine in once a week and its never enough. Not worth buying a new bumper cover at this point, but it has done it since +/-50K, 165K+ now...
  17. ^^ I just did mine last Friday, I would have made the drive out your way. Definitely worth the upgrade, but to each his own. I don't notice the difference while just cruising, but as soon as I start to hit the corners hard, it is night and day.
  18. Awesome thanks! From a mechanical standpoint, I have no concerns about the install process...just wasn't sure if anything else had to be adjusted after. I've been hitting the corners hard the past few days and I have come to the conclusion that the 6th gen has much more body roll than my 5th gen (although the larger side bolsters in the 5th gen seats may factor in here) but I'm excited to get this done and throttle through some curves.
  19. Guys, as I mentioned yesterday, I will be picking up the 20mm bar and bushings tomorrow and installing tomorrow night. I don't have any concern about the removal & install of the new one, but my one question is... Is this just a bolt up and drive away type of mod?
  20. Just ordered the 20mm RSB, picking it up on Friday from the dealer...$20 cheaper than the 19mm...go figure
  21. My 2010 uses at minimum 1 qt every 800-1000 miles. When I had 55K on it, the dealer told me and put in writing that 1qt/1K miles was acceptable per SoA. This was back in 2012, but I still have the paperwork. Well over 160K miles now and the issue never got better or worse. I always keep 3-4 quarts under the trunk liner in the styrofoam organizer. I absolutely love the old beater none the less, but its frustrating at times. That's the only issue it has, and I found no problem linked to the oil loss for over 100K more miles and counting..... Hopefully the 2017 I just bought doesn't waste more oil than BP spilled in the Gulf, but time will tell
  22. Went with 25% tint all around, including over the factory tint on the sunroof...it really reduces the glare on the head unit with the shade open.
  23. RGT, too bad you couldn't mini golf and jump on the carousel this time of year...lol I'm surprised I haven't seen you cruising around yet
