  1. Calligraphy?! Rides so well you can do calligraphy in the passenger seat? I've had my '20 Stinger since Feb 2020 and haven't hit 5k mi yet. Only a GT1 so lacking the 360/HUD goodies.
  2. His dad must be proud https://www.thedailybeast.com/chet-hanks-goes-on-anti-vaxx-rant-despite-parents-tom-hanks-and-rita-wilsons-covid-19-hospitalization
  3. I wonder if they'll eventually tell his son....
  4. This whole past 2 years highlights how little we know about the “immune system” esp., on an individual basis, as well as what we thought we knew about viruses in general. I hope, for lack of any other immediate lessons, that we do learn more in the long run, pushing science through the nagging uninformed anti-science people clouding the vision and veracity of what truly is good science. Jesus Christ, we got to the moon and back in the 60s…or did we?

    Hi Guys!

    Hold up! Are you vaccinated?
  6. You know, stuff like this... https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/near-fatal-blood-infection-following-naturopathic-iv-vitamin-infusion/
  7. Don't get me wrong. I take vitamin supplementation, including D. I had COVID and didn't die. I'm continually concerned broadly by unproven claims, whether it's hydroxychloroquine, acupuncture, copper bracelets, antivaxxer claims... The death of expertise, Dunning-Kruger, and fraudulent capitalism are real concerns, to me at least.
  8. If you're talking about vitamin D, yes, deficiencies are real, treatable with supplementation and concentrations monitored in serum. Minimum daily values for some 'vitamins' are somewhat well-established but not for treating varied maladies...But to randomly throw vitamins and other unproven supplements at a viral infection is uninformed. Hence the mileage will definitely vary! Anecdotal evidence is not good science.
  9. Hold on. The issue is that we still know very little about the exquisitely complex immune system, esp. with so much obvious individual variation. A lot more evidence-based scientific studies need to be done to figure it out, let alone then propose and appropriately design tests, and then maybe be able to design, develop and validate safe and effective treatments. Supplements are largely unproven treatments.
  10. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/man-who-made-fun-vaccination-efforts-social-media-dies-covid-n1274922 “I got 99 problems but a vax ain't one," he said in a tweet last month. In a tweet Wednesday, Harmon wrote: “Don’t know when I’ll wake up, please pray,”
  11. I replaced the cap on my 17y/o compressor last summer with one from Amazon, $15. No skills here!
  12. Beef prices are crazy. Discovered a defensible cheaper cut, chuck eye. https://grillinfools.com/blog/2013/06/18/what-is-a-chuck-eye-steak/ As for the cool at night, try some necromancy…
  13. Lower 60s at most temperature-wise. 60s-70s music/relaxant-wise. 21-30s ladies-wise… And interesting how moving air makes hot and cold cooler but by different principles. And how youth is hotter than ©older. Shiver me timbers…
  14. As do all Japanese seafaring marauders.
  15. Ironically, Enrico uses anti-virus software.
