  1. Ah, I'm running the Cobb DP > stock mid/y/mufflers. I need a bit more. I think the AVO mid/y is my next purchase to get a bit more life out of the exhaust. Thanks!
  2. Interesting, I haven't found just a midpipe yet, but I haven't done a hard search for one yet. I've just seen the mid/y sets. Do you have the AVO or NP? Any chance you could get a sound bite? I'll give you virtual hugs. I've changed exhausts a few times and I always hit the point where the drone just bothers me. I commute 74mi a day now, so that point was reached awhile ago. I've had the Stromung, then stock mid/y to NP 5" mufflers. Great sound outside, but lord did that drone eventually get to me.
  3. Does anyone have an exhaust setup that goes as follows: High flow catted DP > Avo or Nameless mid/y pipe > stock mufflers? I swapped the stock mufflers back in after growing tired of the drone the Nameless axlebacks produced. Now the car is just too quiet .
  4. Bump. I'll be getting the curb rash fixed on these next week, so they'll be even prettier.
  5. I moved back to the stock 17s in preparation for selling the car, so here ya go! They need some TLC and one has a small dent on the lip (never leaked or lost pressure), but they're fine otherwise. I ran 225/40s on them. Each rim weighs about 20.5lbs. Asking $1000 OBO, shipped.
  6. Has anyone dove into the Morimoto M LED 2.0 kit? On topic, I drove it to work. Hoping to get a date from the tuner soon so I can send my turbo to JMP and install the GS TMIC.
  7. Currently have a Cobb DP > stock Mid > Nameless 4" mufflers. Sounds stock at idle and cruising, enjoyable at WOT.
  8. Ah, I remember this thread now. Bought a set of ID1050s and AEM pump to go along with my JMP custom VF46 rebuild. Now, who wants to sell me their GS TMIC?
  9. Looks decent enough. It's still a sad excuse for a modern Legacy "GT" . #notmyLGT
  10. For those on the fence, I've had my kit installed for ~5yrs and it's still going strong. I'm tuned and running 18psi peak. A great buy and thanks to BMB for doing this.
  11. Moving to Pinehurst in three weeks from Hampton Roads. Charleston prior to that. I'm up around Winston and Greensboro often due to family too. Does anyone know who the good NC Subie mechs/tuners/etc are? I know KNS pretty well, but that's it. Hope to run into some of y'all!
  12. Thanks for the hard work Cryo! I am loving my revisions, they are trouble free and the car is as smooth as glass.
  13. Nice, a fellow New Yorker. Charleston is great, but is a bit more expensive than Greenville. Worth it IMO. If you are into hiking, mountains, etc then Greenville is your place. If you like the beach and great food, then Charleston. Regardless, both cities have a lot to offer, good luck!
  14. Yep, 75w90...to bad Extra S is no longer available. Amsoil or Redline will be more than good enough though.
  15. The banjo bolts are fine on 08-09. They are rotated a different direction and don't encounter the same issues as 05-07(not as frequently anyway). My VF-46 is at 75k mi and going strong, just change your oil regularly and frequently enough to avoid having sludge accumulate in the piping. Your VF-46 is fine...if you really are worried then replace the banjo bolt filters...just realize they are there for a reason and aren't a concern with perform proper maintenance.
  16. I love this thread, thanks so much CR for detailing/presenting all of this.
  17. Email him. It's very reasonable and you'll be investing in a much better turbo. I'll be utilizing his service when the time comes.
  18. JmP6889928 also provides a great alternative/fix on the VF40/46. Upgraded internals which should ensure you're good on the reliability front. PS- I am on original VF46 @73K...no play in wheel. That's with a 4k OCI on T6 and Tokyo Roki filters (mentioned by SBT)
  19. Just remember you're not invincible in a Subaru. Don't let off the gas if you lose control, AWD will usually correct itself as long as a hit of power is applied.
