Hey BMB, not sure what to do in my case: usually staying in the world of cheese but currently in a world of coconut trees for another month (hint pacific time).
So, what do you advise?
-
^I have that one and use it for when I need to replace my CV boots (will probably use it again for the next cracked CV boot ).
-
Payment received, and you are correct!
Crap

I see. I am assuming you can no longer use the camera nor the built mics right?
-
Having the device slightly tucked in the dashboard, can you tell if the built-in GPS has a harder time locating satellites?
-
I am not in a hurry, so less pressure for you. I am still on the list though. BarManBean, you're the man.
-
I'm sure most people do, lol. Where's "home" for you, anyway--you know, when you're not in the world of cheese...
Utah where I can do this:

Not me on pic.

Ummmm...something "happened" last night. We'll call it a small turf war that I tried not to participate in.
I think I know what you're talking about.

Stop 'suckering' people
?

Happy to ship one to you. International shipping to most places should only be another $10 or so.
Hoping to touch base with the machine shop tomorrow to see how things are going--hope to have more kits available shortly.
Cool. Do you think you'd have some kits done by the 30th of Nov? I'll be 'home' for thanksgiving . I could then save some on shipping.

I see. I am interested in getting the nexus 7 + Navigon for a dedicated GPS navigation app. But it appears that it is not compatible with this device .
Currently using an 'old' Garminfone A50. It has everything I want and even the Torque app. But it is ssslooooow .
-
Time for me to get one of those kits as well .
-
Do you use a dedicated GPS app on your nexus 7 (i.e. with maps stored on the device---no need of wifi or the like)?
-
Yeah. That's probably what I'll do. It'll save me some future headaches.

The vag com cable can work great but takes some effort.
Dave
Yeah. I am actually tempted to just buy a used tactrix cable 1.3.
-
Very nice mclarenf3. Thanks for the pics. It looks pretty good. Why do you still have that phone holder? Can't the nexus 7 do it all?
-
Here ya go.
This is an older photo with my Pioneer system mounted in the cubby, but now it looks much the same but just with my Google Nexus 7.
Nice but can't see your set up well enough. Can you post closer pics of where you installed your clock/mpg readout as well as of your Nexus 7? Sorry .

Relocated the info panel to where the ashtray is and carefully dremelled out the opening.
^ pics?
-
did you use the usdm stock bezel or the jdm bezel with a wider opening?
+1

We discontinued carrying the cables long ago.
I guess I missed this ^.
We still offer tuning services for AP and open source. We just no longer sell any open source cables. VAG-COM is available on eBay and Tactrix sells their Openport 2.0.and this ^.

Anyone know where the link is for the VAG Cable?
05 5EAT
^ same question.. I went on Infamous website and could not find VAG cables for sale. Is this one OK for our car?
-
He also hinted that the 5th gen GT's have the same timing flaw in the oem map, just not as bad as these cars do.
interesting.

I guess you missed this post. Mike did it while doing the street tune.
He felt the stumble while getting on the highway in 3rd and 4th gear, he began making adjustments with the lap top. By the second time I rolled into 3/4-7/8 throttle, it was a little better. It kept getting better and better as he made adjustments.
I'm assuming he must be able to adjust oil flow to the cams, isn't that how the Variable valve timing works ?
He's the guy with the brains, that's what I pay him for.
I did see that post actually. I was just under the impression that he actually mechanically adjusted something related to the camshafts in under one hour (e.g. valve clearance, etc...). So I was like "wow, How did they do that?"
-
adjusted the cams
Care to elaborate how you did that? Always learning here.

Correct. Let's do that then. I know you ship fast but the French customs in Tahiti are REALLY slow at processing and clearing packages (can take 1.5 month easy). Plus they tax things like crazy. So I'd rather wait till I get back.
