  1. I have finished the install of (Infamous') IP&T's Turbo Oil Supply Line Filter Kit on my '10 LGT w/BNR TD05H/20g. This kit was developed for the 4th Gens, so I had to change up a few things, from the standard kit, to adapt it to the 5th Gen turbo setup. I used (2) two 16" oil lines and made it work, along with some stainless bolts and silicone covered straps. Thought this might be helpful for anyone going down a similar path.
  2. If you haven't already ... It's time to add WeatherTech floor mats to your mod list.
  3. I installed mine as a full recirc as well. A blank off port plate is included with the BOV. As Bliz stated, once the volume of air is measured by the Mass Air Flow Sensor in the intake, the ECU adjusts for the proper fuel mixture. If you dump off some of that air using a BOV, now you have a momentary lean condition which can cause backfires, etc... If the same BOV is configured for full recirc as a BPV, you don't have that issue since all the air has been accounted for in the fuel trims, as it passes thru the engine. Also, due to the location and orientation of the BPV on the 5th Gen LGT, if you were to run this BOV as a 50/50, the open port would be facing upward, exposing the slide piston to the elements ... (i.e., maintenance issues). Since a 50/50 BOV setup does not provide any performance gains, it's a matter of how badly you want to hear the air vent, and willingness to deal with the associated problems that come with it. Here's some good info related to the use of BOV's and BPV's: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/technical-info-bov-bpv-set-up-and-operation-150687.html
  4. Decided to install a Fumoto Oil Drain Valve. Modified valve to allow more oil to drain from oil pan. Measured to top of oil pan drain plug threads, then reduced height of Fumoto threads by making four drain relief notches. http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab160/BigBopper_01/LGT/P1010003-1_zps547ef6a5.jpg http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab160/BigBopper_01/LGT/P1010001-4_zps3283b975.jpg
  5. We've got a nice Ace Hardware that has a great assortment of SS, chrome, etc..., they usually have what I'm after, but they didn't have exactly what I was looking for this time. You can find slotted hex head SS sheet metal screws at most places (Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace), the stainless rubber backed washers are much harder to find.
  6. http://www.totallystainless.com/ This is the stainless hardware I'm using to attach my FLS: Item # 2-1078 #10 x 3/4 Indented Hex Washer Head Screw (24) $0.23 ea. Item # 2-4489 #10 Rubber Backed Washer (24) $0.09 ea. $5.52 $2.16 $6.95 (S&H) ______ $14.63 http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab160/BigBopper_01/LGT/P1010002-3_zpsf742650a.jpg
  7. Hanger had already posted this ... http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4238863&postcount=182
  8. My guesstimate would be 15% to 20% off + S&H $310 to $330 + S&H
  9. Not so ... Here's a link that describes blowby: http://www.aa1car.com/library/engine_blowby.htm The AOS helps to keep oil from being ingested into the engine from the intake. The 5th Gen GT's have the vents from the crankcase and valve covers that dump into the intake duct... like 6" from the compressor wheel on the turbo. The AOS allows those crankcase/valve cover gases to swirl in a small vessel that causes the oil to separate and allows the gases to be returned to the intake without the carryover oil mist.
  10. ^ Actually it helps prevent the intake of the turbo from pulling oil mist from the emissions/crankcase vent system, during normal/spool up turbo operating conditions.
  11. Crawford Performance is offering a Group Buy on their AOS V2 Models (Deadline Dec. 31st). http://store.crawfordperformance.com/store/products/655 Any of the Crawford AOS V2 Models will work. They are made up with pre-cut hose lengths (none of which fit the 5th Gen GT's). I wound up getting the one for the 05-09 TMIC LGT and cut my own hoses.
  12. Hey, I see the list keeps growing. It sometimes gets maddening trying to decide the best approach. I wanted to mention to you that I'm using the TurboSmart Kompact BOV in the full recirc configuration, (essentially a BPV) that I was able to setup for my application. Good luck with the project.

  14. Here's a couple pictures of the brackets. http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab160/BigBopper_01/AVO/P1010003.jpg http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab160/BigBopper_01/AVO/P1010005-2.jpg
  15. IIRC ... The bracket is used to help support the exhaust/turbo from the engine. Without it the exhaust hangs off the turbo. I have mine apart down in the garage ... I'll go take another look to be sure.
  16. I'm running the RCE rear sway and Kartboy endlinks. No strut rotation necessary on my installation.
