  1. just turned 150k planning on another 8 years out of her, but will probably swap out the 2.2 at some point.
  2. I wish I had the know-how to do a swap to manual in my 4EAT limited 148,865 as of tonight for the body, and motor is unknown. I'd hope that whoever swapped in the 2.2 for mine chose a low-mileage one!
  3. case and point. damn...yeah jealous doesn't come close to describing it haha.
  4. That's what I hear! Next car I get is going to be a lgt wagon, no doubt. Sorry guys, I'd put a picture up but I've only got 2nd gen goodness I love the body style of the 3rds tho!
  5. loving the wagon! kinda wish I got one instead of the sedan...seems more practical and still looks boss. especially with the rims painted like that
  6. I found a 1992 ford escort the other day with 756.7 miles on the clock. everything was mint. apparently the lady who bought it drove it to DC and back, then parked it in her garage and never moved it. if I was a fan of a 92 escort (like EVERYONE in the world), i'd pick it up haha.
  7. GOTTA LOVE THE PANELS! I'll have to do that next time I get in for a long trip, and always stay within 50 miles of a shop haha
  8. ^^^ lucky!! body has 148,017, but engine's been replaced somewhere along the way, probably due to the gasket getting cooked. now i've got the 2.2, and i don't know how many miles are on that...
  9. Depends. I personally would do the intake. Try to get as much air as possible to the throttle body by eliminating turns and narrow passages in the air intake. More air/presure equals more power. The engine will be able to breathe but you will lose a bit of power if it can't breathe out. If you want to do the exhaust make sure the exhaust pipes are up to spec. The entire system (inlcuding the catalytic converter if possible) makes a HUGE difference if you replace more than a muffler. As far sites, subarupartsdepartment.com is good for OEM. Performance sites usually are specific for model years...look around for your model year and then go from there as far as performance...
