  1. ^^ much better. squirrels deserve to die they got into the engine bay of my jeep last year and wreaked havok...those sons of bitches.
  2. ahhhh not teh cute puppies!!!
  3. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/lifted-bg-147795.html?p=3132775#post3132775 Thought I'd post it to help him out good luck!
  4. napa has them, you just have to order one up and "slightly" modify it took less than 24hrs for them to have it in the store.
  5. Should have the 2.2, and should NOT be running on the original t-belt. You should be all set for another 35k miles I think. Most of the time the belt is changed out at 100k. If you want to, a belt, water pump, and thermostat (and even a tensioner) is under $200, and you can do it just to have the added security that you know that it's all set. Check the simple things: plugs, air filter, wires, all fluids, tires...I'd imagine that you're running on the original struts too. Might want to swap those out...and then the mod bug bites
  6. Congrats jake! That's really low miles, and welcome to the forum! PICTURES
  7. He must've done all the gaskets and whatnot before you bought it. What maintenance stuff have you gone through? Just regular stuff over the +150k that you've put on it?
  8. where would we get the battery post splitter? I'd definitely want to do some more with this, it seems like a cheap and effective mod, and it might clean up my idle issues and hesitation.
  9. hey guys, I'm doing some more research into the ignition coils and came across this: http://www.jegs.com/i/MSD+Ignition/121/8229/10002/-1 It has the round coilpack design that I think ours has...don't bash or anything if I'm wrong because I don't have the car infront of me, but do you think this one would work?
  10. cool, any reviews on it? I'd imagine it does something over my old, probably original coilpack.
  11. zues, I noticed you put in a coilpack upgrade on the list. Do you think that's plug and play for a 2.2? It might be an interesting thing to pick up for mine...
  12. I'd love a 2.5 But I think I'll build the ol' 2.2 from the ground up. Port and polish, new internals, cam, gaskets...maybe turbo I'm getting way too ahead of myself. I don't know how many miles are on it, but right now the body sits at 154k with unknown miles on the 2.2
  13. HGs twice?? Sorry, that sucks :/ If it's still the original 2.5, props to you! Ball joints shouldn't be too bad...not sure about the rack though. How do you know it's on its way out?
  14. The jdm projectors also include the turn signals. I'm not sure which models for the usdm market came with the 2 piece and which ones came with 1 piece non-projectors, but my 98 has 2 separate pieces and they bother the hell out of me. They're never aligned right! But if you get the projectors, there's no need to worry about signal housings.
  15. This is very interesting...I have access to a series 2 supercharged engine. When I first saw the thread, I didn't know how fitment would be for the different engines, but...this is definitely interesting. My dad has an old one from 97, a grand prix gtp that he hardly uses because he's got another car and the gtp is for fun. But...I wonder what the clearances would be for the 2nd generation engine bay. Congrats on everything frank_ster, this is one hell of a machine. Sounds sweeter than a lambo IMO, it's got a rustic feel to it.
  16. Loving the progress you've made, awesome job! And the ic lines are up too...wish I could see this one in person to learn a thing or two.
  17. Sad thing is, I know a guy that looks like the guy eating the cheeseburger. And he takes 3 baconators and puts them together...eats them in 4 bites. I'll get a picture of him and nom it up on here.
  18. this glad to see the project coming along without too many snags. I'd want to do something similar to my 2nd gen at some point, but by then I'll swap in a 5 speed so I don't cook the 4eat haha. the rest of the stuff to do sounds like it'll go by quick; TEST DRIVE WHEN DONE+VIDEO
  19. can't wait to see how this turns out, subscribed. you're taking everything into account and doing it step by step; hope it all comes out right and with all the power you want
  20. no need to unplug it, just let the car sit overnight to let the pressure drain from the fuel system. then you'll be all set. in the meantime, 151,706 and still counting
  21. have you replaced the fuel filter? I did mine and it was full of black shit when I pulled it; immediately noticed 2-3mpg more as I was driving.
  22. ^^ if I swap, I'll probably go with a newer 2.5 or a wrx swap. I've been thinking of just gutting the 2.2 and putting in some new internals though, just so it runs smoother you know? 98LGT, how much is a tranny going to run you? I've been thinking of replacing mine too, but doing the work myself.
