  1. I almost asked the same thing earlier this morning. But I think he's tagging these for research for his own project. Maybe he's going to attempt it himself. :dunno:
  2. Looks good Rich! Good luck with the R&D. Any chance my HVAC bezel will ship today? *crossfingers*
  3. Yeah. I kinda wish that Highline had mentioned that they were working on the new one when I bought it.
  4. I just paid $1000 for it. And now I find there should soon be a $400 cheaper alternative.
  5. Looks like my crappy timing comes into play again. I bought one of the last Group Buys you did the day before this thread was made. lol.
  6. I can't wait for my Highline DD to get here. My HU/NAV should be here tomorrow. Can't wait to get it all installed.
  7. I'm not sure how the harnesses are setup, but I've been informed that the '08 head units are wired differently than the '07s, so it's possible/probable that the whole shebang is wired differently.
  8. The OEM sub is mounted under the drivers seat. There's a harness there for it.
  9. Thanks for the post Ian! Let us know when you get it installed. I wonder if Opie can tell us if the 07 part numbers and the 08 part numbers are the same.
  10. I actually went back to stock after being Hawg-zawst stg 1 for 6 months. The car seems SO quiet now. So quiet that taking off from a dead stop in normal driving has become difficult (and I've been a MT driver for 20 years). I've stalled it a few times because I can't hear the engine revving. lol.
  11. Good work DK. I wish I was tech savvy enough to understand all that you wrote. Electronic wiring confuses the shit out of me.
  12. I actually have a similar unit I bought a few years ago that was solely made to work with Alpine head units (or at least that's what it says). It's brand new, never used, and DK if you need me to (I doubt you do), I can get it out and take pictures of connectors or whatever if it'll help with anything (I doubt it will).
  13. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, McIntosh HU.
  14. Yeah, doesn't drone at all. I had all the windows down & the sunroof open today, and I couldn't hear it at all at highway speeds. It's weird, it definitely sounds like an exhaust leak at idle/low RPM's, but when accelerating and decelerating (above say 3500 rpm's) it sounds nice and throaty. Not sure if I'll keep it, but I'll give it a shot for a week or so.
  15. I'm officially hog-stage-1 today. Just installed them, haven't driven it yet though. I'll see how (if) it drones on the highway.
  16. That's what I picked up today. I'll probably get around to installing them on wednesday.
  17. I wish I could find the correct washer size in this thread again, I forgot to write it down. lol.
  18. Looks great! Congrats on the car! Sounds like you're really enjoying it! Just wait until after the break in period!
  19. I'd say that's a pretty good price for shipping nowadays, especially considering the cost of fuel. 8 years ago I was quoted a cross country (Arizona to NC) price of $750, so I don't think what you paid is too costly. You could have flown out there cheaper, but getting the car back to MA probably would have cost you the same ammount (total), so less aggravation for you. Excellent deal dude. Congrats on the car, and good luck with her! Break her in nice!
  20. Congrats! Just curious.....how much was it to get the car shipped to you and what company did you use? (I think this may help people down the road who are curious to the cost of shipping a car). Car looks great!
  21. I'm hovering in between 20-21 mixed driving on a consistant basis.
  22. A lot of people don't read them until something breaks. Heh heh.
