  1. Holy shit! That looks great! Totally in for one when these are available to buy!
  2. Honestly, that's GREAT work you did on that. Seriously. But for the typical 'end user', that's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much work for someone with limited knowledge. I've installed probably 20-25 car stereos into cars with ease, and I wouldn't even attempt to do what you did in that link. I know you're proud of your accomplishment there, but there is a MUCH easier way to get a single or dual din aftermarket stereo into an LGT these days. And that answer is HERE. While it doesn't fit 100%, it does fit 99% and looks great when done.
  3. Not sure about it bypassing your amp (I doubt the kit from crutchfield does). I'll assume you have the manual (non automatic) climate controls?
  4. That's what I gathered as well. I used to have one of the Highline kits in my '05 LGT. Great kit too. Here's the thread with ALL the info, brooklyngenius, don't get too excited when reading through it all, they don't offer the kit anymore currently. http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74919
  5. From Highline? They've abandoned this. At least for "now" they say (that was quite a few months ago).
  6. Not sure where it hooks up actually. The connections between an '08 and an '05 are essentially the same, there's a 2nd larger harness on the '08 (I'm guessing for NAV and the Aux in). Here's an '08 radio. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/zmarko/IMAG0042-1.jpg And here's an '05 radio. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/zmarko/IMAG0043.jpg
  7. I know the OP sold his setup some time ago. From what I understand it was still working perfectly.
  8. That one looks like he did it himself, but there is one made by AVO (I think) that looks better (IMO).
  9. Interesting. Wonder if we can get schematics for it.
  10. Ok. That's cool. Unlcemat really knows his stuff, so I'll go that route also. I gotta get this squat issue I'm having with the spec b addressed. Anyone know what the OEM Spec B springs part # is? And if it's stamped on the spring anywhere?
  11. So what's the final decision? This setup? The fronts: ST2033021000 (2 orange paint dabs) The rears: ST2038021000 (2 white paint dabs)
  12. There's a grommet in the passenger footwell also. It's up back behind the dash, and it's easier to poke something through from the engine compartment side. But it didn't give me any issues when I used it for a boost gauge hose.
  13. Read the final 2 pages first.....it's an OLD thread, and people were bumping it to be funny.
  14. Can't you upgrade as you're in the UK? I thought one of the Japan/Australian pieces worked for you guys?
  15. Here's what Rich mentioned in their Group Buy thread.
  16. I believe it's been put on indefinite hiatus for now. Check their thread in the Group Buy section, I think Rich from Highline mentioned something about it in there.
  17. Cool. Will we retain all the other readouts, or does it negate them all? More info would be sweet.
  18. Good luck with it. Hope you're an electrical engineer, or at least good at soldering and figuring out high tech electronics. lol.
